Gerund Rules :

Verbs used as Nouns When a verb is used as the subject of the sentence then it is called a gerund. Painting is fun. (the word painting is the object in this sentence. Painting is a gerund.) Paul likes painting. (painting is not a gerund in this sentence because the subject is Paul) Try out these sentences and find the gerund Climbing mountains can be very fun. Writing in English is difficult. Listening to the radio is fun.
