Devastation in Japan:

Slide 2:

On March 11 th at 2:36 p.m Japanese Standard Time an 8.9 magnitude earthquake struck Japan on the north coast, Then soon after, a devastating tsunami . This earthquake was the fifth largest ever recorded!!!! Not only were these the only two problems, but two of their nuclear power plants are sending off harmful radiations.

* The eye of the storm

* Many people try to return home but are left to find just a pile of rubble.

Slide 5:

* Houses, Bodies, cars, boats, and personal belongings were left floating in the cold waters that flooded the streets.

Slide 6:

* The Earthquake and tsunami also caused many mini fires that were a major pain for the citizens of Japan.

* Almost every store is completely out of medicine, food and water leaving people with NOTHING!!!

* The Earthquake caused everything to move over 24cm!!

* Many people make SOS on rooftops to try and get help. In this picture the SOS is made out of paper and sheets!

* Rescue workers save a young child from a large pile of rubble.

* People wait in shelters to decide what will happen next.

* A family overlooks the pile of rubble.
