Are you eligible to shop? Monthly Shopping Program Each full-time instructional teacher from schools in Orange, Osceola and Seminole counties that have 60% or more of their students qualifying for free or reduced lunch can shop once a month. Visit our Web site www.agiftforteaching.org to see if yours is a Monthly Shopping school. School Representative Program All full-time instructional teachers at schools in Orange, Osceola and Seminole counties that do not have 60% or more of their students qualifying for free or reduced lunch can send up to two teachers to shop a maximum of four times during the month. Please check with your principal to see whether your school has selected shopping representatives. Volunteer-to-Shop Program All full-time public school classroom teachers in Orange, Osceola and Seminole counties that currently are not considered Monthly Shopping Schools are eligible for the Volunteer-to-Shop Program including One Representative Program schools. Please e-mail Traci@agiftforteaching.org to confirm eligibility and schedule a shift. Teacher Shopping Hours Tuesday / Wednesday / Thursday 2:30 p.m. – 6:30 p.m. Saturday 8:30 a.m. – 2:30 p.m.

Getting Here:

- Take I-4 to John Young Parkway (exit 79, South). - Cross Americana Boulevard and Oak Ridge Road intersections. - Immediately after crossing Oak Ridge Road, turn right onto the first road, into the OCPS complex. - Make the first right onto Mahout Trail. Make the first left at the A Gift For Teaching building #400C. Park near the corner of the storefront. Getting Here

Check-In:

- When you arrive, please check-in at the desk to your left. - First-time shoppers, if you haven’t already done so online, you will be registered in our system. - All shoppers will need either a valid School I.D. or Driver’s License. *For your safety and to avoid overcrowding, we do not allow children or shopping companions in the Free Store.* Check-In

- Once validated in the system you’ll be given a clipboard that lists the day’s inventory - Each item is listed on a line with a limit of how many pieces you may take - You are allowed a total of 40 line items. - Grab a cart and start shopping! Tallying Your Items Pencil Boy’s Smart Shopper Tip: Instead of placing check marks next to the items you take, write in the number of pieces.

Crafts with Conviction This is where raw materials really take shape. Through a partnership with two correctional institutions, we are able to offer die-cut shapes and letters, bound journals, notepads, flashcards, puppets, clock faces, tote bags, and more.

Clothes for Kids This section is for elementary school teachers only. We carry clothing for several reasons: It’s hard to concentrate when you’re wearing wet socks. Sometimes there are hygiene issues that affect others. Because accidents happen.

Incentive Items This section changes the most frequently and largely depends on the donations we receive. This is where you may find seasonal items such as ornaments, CDs, DVDs, treasure toys, notebooks, tote bags, greeting cards and more.

Check-Out Wheel your goodies over to the check-out line where one of our dedicated volunteers will verify your items. (It is helpful if you read off the items while transferring them to the outdoor cart.) Help yourself to the boxes in our box room.
