Early Life:

Early Life Emperor Hirohito was born in the Aoyama Palace in Tokyo, Japan on April 29, 1901 as the first child of Emperor Taisho of Japan and Lady Sadako of Kujo. Hirohito began his education at an early age of four; he was taught to act with respect, pride, and politeness. When Hirohito was a young boy he was very shy and serious In 1908 Hirohito started attending Peers School and was enrolled in a special class that taught twelve boys. In 1912 when Hirohito’s grandfather died Hirohito’s father took the throne and Hirohito became next in line for the role of Emperor.

Political Life After the death of Emperor Yoshihito Emperor Hirohito took charge of the throne. During the beginning of the Showa era Emperor Hirohito had conflicts dealing with financial crisis and with military power issues. During WWII Emperor Hirohito never objected against the invasion of several countries, however when it came to the attack against U.S. Emperor Hirohito approved the attack. After the U.S. had severely attacked the cities of Japan; Emperor Hirohito surrendered for the good of the people of Japan and withdrew from WW2.

Personal Life Emperor Hirohito married Princess Nagako Kuni which later she was renamed to Empress Kojun. Emperor Hirohito is the father of five daughters and two sons. Hirohito has missed several assassinations against him such as the hand grenade thrown at him in 1932.

Death and Funeral:

Death and Funeral On January 7, 1989 the official news about Emperor Hirohito’s death was confirmed by a representative of Japan’s Imperial Household Agency. The government also released details about his cause of death. Emperor Hirohito was diagnosed with cancer since 1987. Emperor Hirohito’s final resting place is his tomb in Hachioji, Tokyo – Japan. Several world wide leaders attended the state funeral that was held on February 24.
