Project Overview Study the existing system of logistics and packaging plant Determine the factors responsible for delay of trucks in the plant Recommend feasible suggestions to reduce the truck turn around time

What is truck turn around time? : 

What is truck turn around time? Difference between the time at which truck enters the plant and the time at which truck leaves the plant Currently it is around 5hrs and 15mins!!

Working of Logistics Department : 

Working of Logistics Department Open Transporters Transporters Union Customer Company Places order Lists all orders of the day which are displayed on next day to the truck union Transporters select orders based on their preferences If an order is not selected then it is placed in the open arena

Packaging Plant : 

Packaging Plant Three Roto-Packers used for packing Two for White Cement and One for Wall Care Putty Uses conveyor belt system for transporting the bags to the feeder machines Uses diverters to divert the bags on the conveyor belts Uses chutes to slide the bag from upper floor to the lower floor
