What are employability skills?Slide 8: Employability skills are categorized into 3 skill sets Basic academic skills High order thinking skills Personal qualities Reading learning responsible writing reasoning Self confidence science Thinking creatively Self control maths Decision making Social skills Oral communication Problem solving honest listening Have integrity Adaptable and flexible Team spirit Punctual and efficient Self directed & self managed cooperativeSlide 9: “The real problem is finding workers who have the employability skills or job readiness skills . . .”Slide 10: Two greatest concerns of employers is to find good workers and train them well.
