What is the Pubic Assistance Grant Program ? :

What is the Pubic Assistance Grant Program ? Provides assistance to State, Tribal, local governments, and, certain types of Private Non-profit organizations so that communities can begin recovery from disasters or emergencies. Also known as the PA program, it acts as a supplemental for actions such as: a) Debris removal b) Emergency protective measures c) Repair of publicly owned facilities, and of facilities owned by Non-Profit Organizations

Hazard Mitigation Measures :

Hazard Mitigation Measures The PA program also advocates damaged facilities to look into protection from future disasters The Federal share of assistance is not less than 75% of the eligible cost for emergency measures and permanent restoration. The grantee determines how the non-Federal share (up to 25%) is split with the sub grantees.

What can be done with a grant? :

All work must be required as the result of a major disaster event, located within the designated disaster area and the legal responsibility eligible agency No double dipping! No negligence What can be done with a grant?
