Gastric ulceration is a clinical syndrome that is commonly observed in foals and horses. This medical condition can be caused by a number of factors and is referred to as "Equine Gastric Ulcer Syndrome" (EGUS).According to a research conducted, more than 60% horses that are subjected to intense training, not fed properly or confined to a stall may develop stomach ulcers.90% race horses and performance horses are affected with gastric ulcers. © 2010-2011 OTC Pet Meds
