Slide 2:

How fitting that we should start off with a water balloon fight again– only this time, the family’s expanded, with Quartz, Coral, Rowena, and Aerie joining their aunt and cousin Willow in the fun.

Slide 3:

“Ha, ha! You kids of my ridiculous sister will never get me. NEVER!” “Oh, yeah right, Blondie!” “You’re the ridiculous sister!” “Beware, I’m the queen of water balloons!” came the indignant replies in unison. Willow just giggled. “You’re silly, Mum.”

Slide 4:

With some swift throws by Tess, Quartz and Coral were both instantly covered in water. “Frankly, I think you guys both just got pwned,” Tess remarked matter-of-factly, causing Willow to giggle again. “It’s cold!” Quartz yelped.

Slide 5:

Eventually the kids and kids-at-heart were convinced to come inside where it was nice and warm, for a spot of birthdaying. I don’t have any pictures of Willow growing up, but she bears much resemblance to her mother (excepts that she’s blue) and the cousins all make a cute crowd together, if I do say so myself.

Slide 6:

Meanwhile Quartz and Lina’s relationship was progressing… in quite a non-verbal way. They spent most of their time doing this…

Slide 7:

…And this…

Slide 8:

…And occasionally getting caught in the act.

Slide 9:

Imagine Quartz’s embarrassment when he realised he was being watched. Lina quickly cottoned on and murmured a soft farewell. As Clare watched her go, still a little shocked, she couldn’t help realising how pretty the thin, blonde girl was. She felt sudden pride for her handsome son, but right now she needed to talk to him.

Slide 10:

“You’re not going to have ‘the talk’ with me, are you?” Quartz hastily began, “I know what I’m doing, and I’m not going to go too far.” Clare grinned. “No, no… I do trust you, really. I wanted to talk to you about the heirship.” “I’m heir?” Quartz raised an eyebrow in disbelief.” “Not exactly. You… you came second. It was very close.”

Slide 11:

“Oh.” “I thought I might as well just tell you right out. You always seemed like you wanted it most. Are you okay?” “Well…” Quartz deliberated, “Even if I’m not heir, I can still have a family, right? That’s what really matters.”

Slide 12:

“Right. I’m glad you’ve got your priorities straight. You’re a good kid.” “I try,” Quartz grinned wickedly. “So, while we’re on the topic… who is heir?” Clare raised an eyebrow in what she apparently thought to be a mysterious manner, and left, smiling. “Worth a try,” Quartz grumbled, turning on the TV.

Slide 13:

Quartz wasn’t the only one getting action in public. Aerie was getting better and better at bringing home guys from school and subsequently blocking the TV as she ‘got to know them’ better. Rowena pretended to not mind; Quartz, on the other hand, spent a lot of time rolling his eyes and gritting his teeth.

Slide 14:

It became slightly too much for Quartz as his game of chess was interrupted by the noises and sights of Aerie rolling all over his good friend Joseph. Joseph was a really great, friendly guy and he didn’t deserve to be played like that, Quartz thought angrily. He had to do something about it.

Slide 15:

“Listen,” Quartz cornered his sister in the hallway, “I saw what you were doing with Joseph. He’s my friend. He’s a great guy and I can’t believe you would—” “He’s a great kisser, too!” Aerie interrupted enthusiastically, choosing to ignore the menace in Quartz’s voice. Quartz almost yelled with frustration. “Why are you doing this to him?”

Slide 16:

Aerie finally snapped. “You need to calm down, okay? It isn’t any of your business in the first place!” “He’s my friend and I don’t like how you’re--” “Please, cut the overprotective act! I can do whatever I want, Quartz, and I don’t care!”

Slide 17:

Quartz sighed. “Okay, it’s your choice, I guess. You want to act like a slut, you don’t want to be taken seriously by anyone… you’re right, it’s not any of my business,” he said indifferently, turning away. Aerie had nothing to say. She could only stare blankly at him.

Slide 18:

The next evening, Quartz was surprised (and faintly dismayed) to find Anna standing outside his house. Apparently Anna was surprised to see Quartz, too. “Oh, hey!” she chirped, “Didn’t expect to see you here!” It’s my house, Quartz thought irritably. But he forced himself to chat amiably with her.

Slide 19:

Eventually there was a lapse in conversation. Anna took it upon herself to fill it. “You know, there’s something I’ve wanted to do for a long time,” she began in a hushed voice, her hand drifting under Quartz’s chin. Quartz didn’t know what to do. He didn’t want to kiss her, but he didn’t know how to let her down gently. I’ll just have to play along, he told himself desperately.

Slide 20:

Unfortunately for Quartz, Aerie saw everything. And she was not happy. She knew Quartz had a girlfriend. She knew the girl he was kissing was not his girlfriend. And that he’d yelled at her just last night for doing exactly what he was doing now. She couldn’t contain herself. ………..

Slide 21:

“Quartz, you little– I cannot believe you would just kiss another girl like that when yesterday you told me to– and she’s not even your girlfriend!” Aerie spluttered, voice thick with rage. “Aerie, come on– you know it meant nothing. I don’t even like Anna. I didn’t know how to say no.”

Slide 22:

“I don’t care! You told me making out with two different guys was evil and slutty and all that crap, and you did the exact same fricking thing!” “There’s a difference, Aer—” “There is no difference!”

Slide 23:

“You know, Quartz, you tell me I was a hypocrite. But do you know who I think is the hypocrite? You. And I’m sick of you always trying to control my life.” Quartz waved an arm in disgust. “Let’s not drag that issue into this. You’re being really immature.” Aerie wanted to yell some more, but she managed to hold her tongue. She glared and stormed off.

Slide 24:

When Aerie saw Anna outside their house the next morning, she knew exactly how to exact revenge. “Hey, Anna, fancy seeing you here!” “Oh, hi, Aerie. I was just looking for Quartz.” “I wouldn’t bother if I were you,” she said gravely, lowering her voice. “He told me yesterday he wasn’t interested in you.”

Slide 25:

“He said that, did he?” Anna’s eyes suddenly held a maniacal glint. Aerie nodded, eyes wide. “Or your sister.” She was quite enjoying this. “I’m sorry, he can be a real jerk sometimes.” Anna sneered in agreement. “There’s only one way to deal with this, and that’s revenge.” *Thunderclap*

Slide 26:

“An excellent choice, my friend,” Aerie exclaimed. “Now if you’ll please excuse me, I must be off. Bus waits for no woman.”

Slide 27:

Quartz came home in exceedingly bad self-esteem. He’d been laughed at all day, and he had no idea why. It had started right at the beginning of the day, when Anna had come up to him and given him a huge bear hug. Something had seemed off– but, Quartz thought, pushing that thought aside, his hair was fine, he didn’t have spinach in his teeth… What could it be?

Slide 28:

Maybe everyone just suddenly hates me, he thought gloomily. Maybe Aerie spread some nasty rumor about me or something. But he didn’t really believe that.

Slide 29:

“Quartz, what’s that on your back?” Rowena pointed out puzzledly. “Kick me, I’m a jerk?” she read. “Did you put that there?” Aerie smirked and Quartz looked confused for a moment, which turned into comprehension and then fury.

Slide 30:

“This has something to do with Aerie.”

Slide 31:

But life had to go on, and as Quartz’s birthday drew nearer he realised he couldn’t put it off any longer: he had to talk to Lina. So they sat down on the couch together. Quartz cleared his throat. “So, it’s nearly my birthday, and I’ve been thinking. We have a mostly… physical relationship, and…” he trailed off.

Slide 32:

“You’re trying to break up with me, aren’t you?” Lina said softly. Quartz sighed. “Yeah, you got me. It’s not that you’re not a great girl, and we’ve had fun together, but I just think—” “Shh…” Lina interrupted, “I understand.” “So, I guess this is goodbye?” “I guess,” Lina smiled a sad smile.

Slide 33:

“One last kiss?”

Slide 34:

……….

Slide 35:

Lina left at almost exactly 6:00 and Quartz had no choice but to grow up then and there. “How do I look, Mum?” “Disconcertingly like my husband.” “…And that’s good, right?” …….I think it is!

Slide 36:

That night Aerie was almost ready for bed. She took her hair out of its bun and was about to change into her PJ’s when she gave a slight double take: her hair was finally long. She studied herself in the mirror, and it occurred to her that she didn’t actually like her new hairstyle. After all this time! She looked just like all the other girls. Blech. Oh well, she thought– hair can easily be changed…

Slide 37:

It was Clare’s turn to give a double take the next morning, as she spotted some brown-haired stranger helping herself to the omelets Coral had made. Without thinking, she shrieked, “There’s a mugger in my kitchen!” at the top of her lungs, and raced to the phone to dial 911.

Slide 38:

“Mum, mum,” Aerie gasped, catching her panicked mother just in time, “You’re overreacting! It’s just me!” “It’s just– oh, it’s you, Aerie.” Clare sighed in relief. Then her eyes widened as she realised: “But what have you done to your hair?!”

Slide 39:

Sensing an impending lecture, Aerie decided to go on the defensive. “But, Mum, it’s my hair!” she whined. Clare chuckled. “I suppose you’re right. Though it did look so lovely before… and there’s no need to be a brat about it, anyway.” Aerie smiled; the danger was over. “I didn’t want to look like everyone else.”

Slide 40:

Clare sighed good-naturedly. “You know, Aerie, sometimes I think I’ll never understand you.” “Oh, no-one does.”

Slide 41:

Easy-to-understand or not, Aerie managed to attract a pretty big crowd to her birthday party. It was a chilly day and the guests were all rugged up in their coats and gloves.

Slide 42:

After blowing out her candles, Aerie enjoyed the familiar fizzy feeling of growing older and the cheers of her family and friends.

Slide 43:

We can’t really see you very well when you’ve got a fork stuffed in your mouth. And *wrinkles nose* don’t you want to change? “Mmph… Eat first, then change.” Well she’s got her priorities straight, at least.

Slide 44:

“Alright, now I can model for you.” Aw, what can I say? She’s a stunner.

Slide 45:

And here’s Willow, Tess’s daughter, all grown up as well. Like the shirt? Well, you can’t have it– Modthesims rejected it on account of it being too suckish for them. So I’m keeping it all to myself*. Muahaha. *Incidently if anyone does want it, I’m sure I can find a way for that to happen. 

Slide 46:

“Hey, Dad. I’m moving out to live with Willow in a few minutes.” “Ugh… can’t talk… I’m playing a game of chess with myself, and I’m stuck!” “Well… bye, then!”

Slide 47:

“Wait…did you say what I thought you said?!”

Slide 48:

“Bye, Aerie! Have fun living with Willow… don’t drink too much… and don’t cheat with too many guys!” “I won’t, I won’t—” “And don’t forget to call us every once in a while, come to our parties… you know…” “I won’t. Don’t worry. Bye, Mum!”

Slide 49:

And life went on. Rowena and Coral were quite enjoying having all the bedrooms all to themselves, and they became closer than ever before.

Slide 50:

On the other hand Clare couldn’t help calling her children unnecessarily every day or two. “But I need to tell her something!” she would argue whenever Coral pointed this out. This time, however, she was justified– she needed to talk to Aerie about the heirship. “Hello… is Aerie there?” she asked into the phone. She could hear thumping music and loud chattering voices in the background, if she wasn’t mistaken.

Slide 51:

“Yo,” came Aerie’s distracted voice after a short wait while the phone was passed along. “Hi, it’s Mum… again.” Aerie laughed. “Of course.” “But I have something important to tell you this time,” Clare said hastily, “It’s about the heirship.” “I’m heir?!” Aerie sounded incredulous. “Oh, no, I’m sorry. I mean to say– well, I assumed you presumed you weren’t heir?”

Slide 52:

Aerie giggled. “Of course. I mean, why would anyone in their right mind pick me as heir? The legacy would last five minutes.” “Oh, don’t be so hard on yourself. I’m sure you would be fine– but I was just letting you know. Are you ok?” “Never been better. Um, I kind of have to go now.”

Slide 53:

“Oh… alright then…” Clare said reluctantly, “Remember what I told you about drinking and boys…” Aerie groaned. “Yes, Mum. I’ll talk to you later. I’m coming, Ethan!” she squealed before the phone was dropped with a clunk. Clare sighed. “Well, that went better than I thought…” she mused.

Slide 54:

Why, hello Adam. That’s quite a spiffy suit. “I’ll need it– for the face you see is the new face of Dyspaire! I’m the new mayor!” Oooh! I can’t wait until the new billboards get put up… *drools slightly*

Slide 55:

The family congregated at the dinner table that evening. Adam spoke: “Well, kids, your mother and I feel that it’s better now than never to talk about the heirship.” Coral and Rowena nodded seriously. “I know you both want it, but only one of you can be heir, so just bear in mind that we love you both– we love all our children– exactly the same.” Coral looked slightly skeptical but Rowena smiled.

Slide 56:

“Rowena… you’re our new heir,” Adam continued, grinning.

Slide 57:

“I am? Seriously? Oh, gosh… that’s amazing… I’m heir! Isn’t that surreal, Coral?”

Slide 58:

“…Surreal? Oh, sure. Good job, Ro.” Coral forced a smile. She’d wanted this so badly, to prove to herself and everyone else that she could do it.

Slide 59:

Rowena picked up on the sadness in her sister’s voice. “Oh, gosh Coral.. I’m sorry. That was very tactless of me.”

Slide 60:

Ugh! I’m being ridiculous! I should be happy for her, Coral thought furiously. “No, don’t apologise. You’re happy, of course– I would be too, anyone would be. I only feel like I’ve failed myself. No-one thinks anything of the youngest, and—” “That’s not true,” Clare interrupted determinedly, “You haven’t failed anybody. Coral, you’re going to go far in life and you never forget it.” Coral couldn’t suppress a grin. Perhaps her scatterbrained mother was right.

Slide 61:

“Adam… I’m really, really glad right now.” “Why so?” “I feel like everything’s finally fallen into place! We’ve finally got a house that has wallpaper, there was hardly any drama concerning the heirship, and you, my beautiful husband, are the mayor of Dyspaire. Life’s pretty good.” “Yes… life’s pretty good.”

Slide 62:

“Ack! What is this?” “It’s a stick of asparagus, Clare. What does it look like? It’s my new ride! What do you think?” “I think your ‘new ride’ is very loud!”

Slide 63:

Finally came our little heir’s birthday. In case you can’t tell them apart, the guy to the right of her is Adam and the one on the left is Quartz. They do look quite spookily alike. And then there’s llama-girl on the far left (my sister thought it was a guy) looking very desperate indeed. I don’t know who she is.

Slide 64:

“I feel a sudden urge to drink lots of coffee and vacuum the floors!” How ‘bout we make that an urge to change out of that ridiculous skirt?

Slide 65:

And here’s our little heir all grown up. They grow up… so fast. *sniff*

Slide 66:

Rowena wanted to be a Business Tycoon, and Adam decided to help her along by teaching her how to speak better in front of audiences. Of course he was a complete pro at it, being mayor, but Ro was not so good. “Hmm… try and look more animated, Ro,” Adam suggested.

Slide 67:

“…and for this reason, the finances should allow– more animated, Dad? Uh… oh, I know…”

Slide 68:

“…Like this?”

Slide 69:

“Er, no, not exactly like that…”

Slide 70:

Clare was chatting with her good friend Clarence when Rowena walked in. Seeing Rowena looking questioningly and slightly suspiciously at the ponytailed man, she leapt up to introduce the two.

Slide 71:

“Oh, Rowena, this is my friend Clarence. Clarence, this is my daughter Rowena.” The two looked at each other. He’s cute, was Rowena’s first thought.

Slide 72:

“And in case you were wondering, I’m not cheating on your father with him. He’s all yours. Go get him!” Clare whispered. “Mum.” Rowena sounded exasperated. “What?” “Just… never mind.”

Slide 73:

“Hi, Rowena. It’s nice meeting you.” Clarence grasped her arm as a greeting; Rowena was surprised, but went along with it. “Oh, please call me Ro,” Rowena smiled in reply. She already kind of liked him. “Uh… I’ll go… I have a cake in the oven…” Clare mumbled. No-one paid any attention to her.

Slide 74:

“So have you been friends with Mum for a long time, then?” “Quite a long time. She’s great. Priceless.” “Huh. I never knew.” ‘Priceless’? Sounds ominous.

Slide 75:

They chatted for a while, but regretfully Clarence had to leave some time or another. “Well, I’d best be off. It was great meeting you, Rowena.” “Oh, yeah, you too,” Rowena felt a little dizzy.

Slide 76:

She wrapped her new friend in a hug that was unexpected by both of them. “I hope we meet again someday,” she said shyly. “I’m sure we will,” Clarence replied genuinely.

Slide 77:

That night, Rowena prepared to go out. “Mum, is it ok if I borrow your clothes? I don’t really have anything that’s nice.” “Oh. Sure,” Clare mumbled distractedly from the bed. “Thanks. And… um… any reason why you’re on my bed?” “Oh… this is your bed?” *Facepalm*

Slide 78:

Who else should be at the nightclub but Clarence? He was completely shocked (and completely thrilled) to see her again, sitting on the barstool, looking a little lost. “Rowena?” he asked. She spun around.

Slide 79:

“Oh, it’s you!” she sounded just as shocked. “I’m so glad you’re here! I don’t go out much… and to tell you the truth I’m a little out of my depth.” Clarence was strangely turned on by this. A beautiful girl like you? Really? He wanted to ask. But he didn’t. “I’ll show you around,” was all he said.

Slide 80:

“Here, you sit down while I make us a couple of drinks.” The night was getting better and better, Rowena thought blissfully.

Slide 81:

As the night drew on, Clarence and Rowena grew closer and closer to each other. “The stars are beautiful,” Rowena sighed. “You’re beautiful,” Clarence said shyly. “That was cheesy.”

Slide 82:

Rowena’s high spirits were brought down to earth when she came home to a very angry mother. Uh oh. “Where were you?” “Out! I told you.” “You missed Coral’s birthday.” “Oh… I’m sorry. I had no idea.” “Tell it to Coral! It was extremely rude of you, you know!” “Mum, for the last time, I do not mind!” Coral called from her bedroom. Clare ignored her.

Slide 83:

“Well…” Rowena sighed in a dreamy, slightly drink-addled way, “I’m not sure, Mum, but I think I may have found my husband-to-be.” “Nice. Changing the subject. Don’t think I’m done with—” “No. Really.”

Slide 84:

“Ok, then… who is it?” Clare wasn’t entirely convinced. “It’s Clarence,” Rowena admitted with a sly grin.

Slide 85:

Ah, there’s the explosion of happiness we’ve all been expecting from me. 

Slide 86:

“I’m so proud of my little blonde daughter… I can’t believe you’ve found the one…” Clare sniffled, enveloping Rowena in an enormously motherly hug. “I’m not completely sure that he is… Mum, get off!” Clare went back to her room humming happily and thinking about wedding plans.

Slide 87:

The next morning, after most of the affects of alcohol had worn off, the two remaining sisters chatted to one another. “I really am sorry I missed your birthday, Coral. It was terribly rude of me.” Coral rolled her eyes. “Really, I don’t mind. You needed to get out sometime. I told Mum all this, but she didn’t listen, of course.” They grinned. Rowena realised that soon she would be the only sister left at home. “Are you going to move out, or something?” she blurted without thinking or recognising how rude she sounded.

Slide 88:

Coral didn’t mind. “I think it would be better to move out sooner rather than later… get a head start on my career and my life, really.” “What do you want to be?” “I want to be something big. Something that no-one would expect some little redhead from the desert to become.” Coral spoke boldly, fiercely, as she said this.

Slide 89:

“Well don’t forget about us while you take over the world,” Rowena chuckled weakly as she comprehended her younger sister. She was becoming a little emotional. “Of course I won’t. Especially you, Ro. I couldn’t have wished for a better big sister. It’s corny but it’s true.” she chuckled. “Oh, Coral…” the tears were welling up in Ro’s eyes.

Slide 90:

She scooped her younger sister up in a big hug. …….. “Mum, would you like to get out of the picture and stop ruining the emotional climax?” “Pretty cheesy climax if you ask me.”

Slide 91:

True to her word, Coral left that very afternoon.

Slide 92:

Clare and Adam’s birthdays were coming up, and Clare was in charge of the guest list. She called her son first, as she hadn’t seen him in a while. “Hey, Quartz. It’s your ol’ Mum. I’m having a party this afternoon, you coming?” “Oh... Hi! You bet I’m coming. Wouldn’t miss it for the world. And this is the perfect opportunity to introduce you to my new girlfriend!”

Slide 93:

jjju Clare laughed. “I already know who your girlfriend is! The skinny one with the really light blonde hair. I’m not that stupid.” Quartz sounded puzzled. “You mean Lina? I broke up with her ages ago.” “…Oh.” “Mum, really, sometimes I just don’t know about you…” “No-one tells me these things!”

Slide 94:

“Oh well, if it isn’t Lina then I suppose it’ll be a surprise…” Clare continued. “Yep. I’ll give you a hint, she’s also skinny and blonde. I’ll see you this afternoon!” “Bring prezzies!” Clare exclaimed. Quartz laughed and hung up, wondering if Clare would approve of his new girlfriend.

Slide 95:

As party time rolled around, Clare approached Quartz and his familiar-looking blonde companion. Quartz swallowed and announced, “Mum, this is my girlfriend, Dagmar. Dagmar, I’d like to introduce you to—” Clare sat down next to her son abruptly and rolled her eyes.

Slide 96:

“Quartz, Quartz… I’ve already met Dagmar. We’ve been best friends for ages.” “Yeah, Quartz. I thought I told you.” “Er…” Quartz stammered, sensing the raised eyebrows surrounding him. “Now who’s the stupid one, eh Quartz?” At least she’s not disappointed, Quartz thought.

Slide 97:

Then it was time for me to grow up… it was quite a sad time for real me. I liked my young, hip, adult simself… “Ha, ha, what a funny joke, Mum! You were never hip. Heh heh heh.” *Grizzles* Thanks, Ro. Oh, and I see you love me so much you’re wearing your PJ’s in my honor. And I didn’t know growing older automatically amputates one of your fingers. How simply barbaric– oh well, my simself seems quite delighted by the concept.

Slide 98:

Adam’s turn– seems he’s got a bit of a problem mid-spin: “Ouch! My hip!” “You’re not hip anymore– you’re old!” ** “This is why I love you, Clare.” *hits head on hypothetical desk* **I totally stole this line from Fairly Oddparents, I admit it. Yes I still watch that show sometimes. And Spongebob, too. I love Spongebob.

Slide 99:

Well he couldn’t ever be not cute, but whoever made that custom default skintone went really overboard with the wrinkles! Woah! Still, better too many than none I suppose. The vest however must go.

Slide 100:

Clarence arrived after the parents had grown up, and Rowena caught him just as he walked in. He mumbled a quick “Sorry I’m late”, noticing Rowena’s nervousness. Rowena was in fact so nervous she could barely breathe, let alone say anything to him. She knew this was the time to do it. She had to do it sometime. *facepalm*

Slide 101:

She got down on one knee, smiled a trembly but still beautiful smile, and pulled out a small box from her pocket.

Slide 102:

“Clarence, will you marry me?” Clarence was shocked. He loved Rowena but he wasn’t expecting this. Still, he did love her… so what else to say? “Yes.”

Slide 103:

They hugged, and in that moment Clarence knew he could do it.

Slide 104:

“Are you thinking what I’m thinking?” “Why, I think I am thinking what you’re thinking!” So with that they got started on Generation 3.

Slide 105:

Hehehe. You see that little ‘+25,000’ above my head? I got that simply from organizing an anniversary party. Both Adam and I are set aspiration-wise for the rest of our lives. Who knew it was so easy! The actual party was crap. Aerie danced to the radio for 6 hours straight.

Slide 106:

I decided I may as well get the couple hitched before the signs of pregnancy started showing and Rowena couldn’t fit into this great wedding dress. Now notice a) Adrian (Tess’s husband) is wearing a pink suit, b) I have no idea who the crusty old man sitting in front of him is, and c) where, for heaven’s sake, is the mother of the bride?!

Slide 107:

Oh, but of course, she is watching from the upstairs window. I hate weddings. She really is the most facepalm-worthy sim I’ve ever encountered– quite a feat.

Slide 108:

Later Rowena did pop and the family were allowed to coo at her belly. “Hello, little baby! I’m your daddy!” Clarence was making quite a fool of himself. Rowena raised an eyebrow, and Clarence looked up at her and grinned. “I know I don’t seem like it, Ro, but if there’s anything I’ve wanted for my whole life, it’s a child of my own.” Vest begone!!

Slide 109:

Skip a bit, brother… we don’t want to hear about all the morning sickness and constant food-shovelling, do we now? And unlike most sims, Ro manages to look decent while screaming her lungs out.

Slide 110:

Finally baby Egypt was spun into the world. I’m quite proud of coming up with this name. She’s got her dad’s pale skin and both her parents’ brown eyes. And I’m pretty sure she’s got brown hair, but I’ll have to wait and see.

Slide 111:

While the rest of the family was left to coo over the newborn girl, Rowena spread the news. “Aerie! You’ll never guess what happened this morning– I had a baby girl, Egypt!” “That’s great, Ro. Can’t wait to meet her.” She sounded happy, but Rowena detected sadness, frustration, and– could it be?– loneliness.

Slide 112:

“Hey… are you okay, Aerie? You sound a little depressed.” Aerie cursed herself inwardly. Oh well, she thought, may as well break the news now… “Actually, I just found out… I’m pregnant.”

Slide 113:

……..

Slide 114:

Oh, yes, you’re so cute, Clare. *lesigh* Anyway, this picture of me in my sprightly youth is the sign of another chapter ending. This was a long chapter. I think my writing got a little… soggy… towards the end, but meh– it’s late at night. I shall try and make the gap until the next chapter shorter, but school is starting soon… *trembles* High school for me… As always, thanks for reading. 
