A PRESENTATION On "Vidushi ” KLG SYSTEL Pvt. Ltd. PRANAV MISHRA CSE VII Sem

INTRODUCTION : 

INTRODUCTION Its an ISO 9001:2000 certified company. The company provides services to Gov. power sector companies. The main work of company is billing, spot billing, Payment Reconciliation etc. The company covers 14 states. The main centers are in Delhi, Gurgaon, Jaipur, Mumbai.

The company was started in 1996 with two branches at Delhi and Gurgaon respectively. Annual turnover of the company is around Rs 100 crore. Total no of employee is around 1200. The company has its own software named “Vidushi ” which is used to calculate the monthly bills for electricity usage.

Spot Billing:-: 

Spot Billing:- Billing forms the core of the commercial operation for any power distribution utility . It is through the metering , billing and collection process that the utility realizes its revenue. Many deficiency exists in this processes resulting in huge commercial losses. The software initiative and strategic partnership for handling complex billing revenue protection establishing a system of cheques and validations satisfying consumer demand.

SEQUENCE OF OPERATIONS FOR SPOT BILLING: : 

SEQUENCE OF OPERATIONS FOR SPOT BILLING: Data will be exported and imported depending upon the filter condition selected on GUI. Export can be done for all the records or we can select no. of records to be exported from GUI. One file will be Imported only once for a particular bill month . For those customers who are imported by SBM, flag will be updated in Desktop PC who was earlier imported by central server flat file that this customer has been billed

Before proceeding for export data, (Input File) data has to be imported from flat file given by Central server into the Desktop PC. Data will be imported depending upon the filter conditions selected on GUI belonging to a particular Sub Division. Once imported it can be exported into input file and it will be saved at a particular location defined in Configure file. Before Exporting data for output, payment and Sewak files data has to be imported from flat file given by SBM into the system. It will also update the flag of customers which are in this file and also imported earlier in step . Once successfully imported can than be exported to desired format at location defined in Configure file.

Changed customer information can be punched into the system through GUI; different information’s can be changed from various GUI provided. Once punched customer information can then be exported into flat file or can be seen in form of report from GUI.

REQUIREMENTS: SOFTWARE REQUIREMENTS: Following are the software requirements for development of software: for Desktop PC: 1) Development Software - Visual Studio Net 2005 2) Database – SQL Server 2005. 3) Crystal Reporting. for Web Application 1) Development Software - Visual Studio Net 2005 2) Database – SQL Server 2005. 3) Sal server reporting services.

Software of PSEB : 

Software of PSEB PSEB stands for Punjab State Electricity Board. Both windows and web application are suitable for handling the transmission and distribution information of the customers.

Document Conventions: : 

Document Conventions: Desktop PC means the local database on machine where the windows application is installed. SBM means Spot Billing machine and it give data for all billed customers.

Scope:-: 

Scope:- The window version of software will be installed on individual workstations and it is used to consolidate the billed data and then send it to central server in central server file format. And the web application will do export, import and showing various reports of the data. The web and windows version will provide the following main functionalities.

For windows application:-: 

For windows application :- Transmission and Distribution software should provide interface to import data of fixed format flat file provided by Central server into Desktop PC.

It should also provide interface for importing data (fixed format) into PC, flat file will given by SBM after billing is done

For windows application:- It should also have an interface to connect to PC for exporting data into various formats. GUI should be provided for punching changed customer various information into PC, and then it can then be exported from PC to desired format and can be seen in form of report too. The proposed system is GUI based

For web application:-: 

For web application:- The web application will provide all functionality as mentioned in above points for windows application . Provide a GUI to generate various type of reports. Role based login will be provided , and depending upon role forms will be shown. Master pages to add ,edit and delete in various master tables

CONCLUSION:: 

CONCLUSION: Thus after the use of SBM ,GUI & Web Application, the total revenue has been increased & the maintenance of data becomes very easy & more faster than past few years.
