Slide 2:In the beginning, when God created the heavens and the earth, the earth was a formless wasteland, and darkness covered the abyss, while a mighty wind swept over the waters.
Slide 3:Then God said, and there was light…
…God saw how good the light was. “Let there be light,”
Slide 4:God then separated the light from the darkness. God called the light
“day,” and the darkness he called “night.”
Slide 5:Then God said, “Let there be a dome in the middle of the waters, to separate one body of water from the other.” …God called the dome
“the sky.”
Slide 6:Then God said, “Let the water under the sky be gathered into a single basin, so that the dry land may appear.” …God called the dry land “the earth,” and the basin of the water he called “the sea.”
Slide 7:Then God said, “Let the earth bring forth vegetation: every kind of plant that bears seed and every kind of fruit tree on earth that bears fruit with its seed in it.”
Slide 8:Then God said,
“Let the water teem with an abundance
of living creatures…
Slide 9: …and on the earth let the birds fly beneath the dome of the sky.”
Slide 10:This is CREATION as we know it…
Slide 11:However, upon creation, we were also entrusted by God to take care of his works… * God gave us DOMINION over his creations… to have power over something
Slide 12:God also made man STEWARDS of his creation… …thus, our responsibility to care for enerything around us
Slide 13:As stewards of Creation… …we are ultimately ACCOUNTABLE for decisions done, and actions made concerning creation.
Slide 14:WHAT HAVE WE DONE SO FAR?
Slide 15:We live in
a country blessed with numerous natural resources… The Philippines!

Slide 38:We need to have more discipline and concern about our environment…
Slide 39:How do we address the issue?
Slide 40:By doing things in our own little way waste segregation / proper waste disposal purchasing environment-friendly/non-toxic products limiting use of vehicles to conserve energy
Slide 41:By harnessing other sources of energy Patronizing projects geared toward environment preservation Using recycled paper when printing unimportant stuff take it upon ourselves to make ourselves more aware of the conditions of our environment
Slide 42:we must realize that it is not necessary for us to possess supernatural powers to do INCREDIBLE things… after all, great achievements consist of small acts.
Reflections… :Reflections… STEWARDSHIP
We are co-creators with God, therefore, we must do what we can to preserve God’s creation
We believe that human beings are stewards of the environment. A steward is someone who doesn’t own land but looks after it. It is the duty of people to look after the Earth and pass it on to the next generation.
SUFFICIENCY
we shouldn’t be driven too much by consumerism, we must know what we need, and not just get what we want
desire for better living conditions leads to depletion of resources without giving it time to replenish thus the need for “Sabbath”
Illiteracy / lack of education pose a problem to conservation efforts
Philippine Context :Philippine Context We must be vigilant and we must have the political will to enact laws. The citizens must also do their part.
Philippine Context :Philippine Context Depletion of resources is not just the concern of those in charge in the national level but it should also be a concern in the local level.
Philippine Context :Philippine Context Choose leaders who are environment-conscious, or at least advocates environmental consciousness. New taxation.
Slide 47:Promoting social equality is of utmost importance. Our goal must be sustainable development. It is necessary to transform apathy to vigilance and action to succeed in conservation projects. The media could be utilized to re-inculturate.
