It opened me to a deeper relationship with the divine and additionally, to relationships with persons who actually live as though they know that they carry a spark of the divine within them. ~ Fern Gaffey Oasis Ministries teaches people to contemplatively have God in their daily lives. Oasis gave me a consistent, on-going place to share my own spiritual journey. It also helped me learn how to provide that for others.~ Margaret Hardy : The spiritual journey – mine and yours as you share it with me – is fundamental to who I am. Oasis gave me a consistent, on-going place to share my own spiritual journey. It also helped me learn how to provide that for others.~ Margaret Hardy Slide 9: Oasis has given me an opportunity to experience contemplative practices within a small community of colleagues. My experience of having a spiritual director has encouraged me to spiritually direct others. Oasis is a good teacher, giving opportunities to be with others and preparing participants to listen and sit with others needing a safe place and person to listen. ~ Kathy Spitzer My need for sharing on a deep and authentic level is enormous and goes unmet in most places. I have come to recognize the truth of “those who lose their life will find it;” as I have seen Christ in others I have found my own deepest truth. Oasis gatherings seem to afford me that experience over and over again.~ Anonymous Board member : My need for sharing on a deep and authentic level is enormous and goes unmet in most places. In a world of constant change and a barrage of information, we can be intentional about stepping away. Oasis is a vehicle for spending time with God, often in nature, and connecting with God, yourself and others in ways not easily experienced in every day life. Step away. Step into silence. Reconnect in many ways. Breathe. Pray. ~ Anonymous Board member © 2010 Oasis Ministries for Spiritual Development419 Deerfield Road, Camp Hill, PA 17011(717) 737-8222 * oasismin@oasismin.org : © 2010 Oasis Ministries for Spiritual Development419 Deerfield Road, Camp Hill, PA 17011(717) 737-8222 * oasismin@oasismin.org This concludes this slide presentation.
