The melting pot of ethnicities and religion ensure an exhilarating mix of Malaysia festivals throughout the year . During this period, shopping centres and businesses try to out decorate each other , embellishing their premises along festival themes. Streets and certain public places are brought to life by colourful ornaments like lanterns and such . For your benefit, I have made a list of major Malaysia festivals below. Often, the dates of these events vary according to lunar calendar. You can plan your visit to coincide with these festivals by looking up the Malaysia public holiday calendar . Malaysian Festival..

Chinese New Year.:

Thaipusam.:

Gawai Day.:

Mooncake Festival.: 

Mooncake Festival is an ancient celebration to commemorate the victory of Chinese peasants over Mongolian warlords. Mooncake festival is also known as Lantern festival. Hari Raya Aidilfitri.:

Deepavali.:
