When refuelling always ensure that you are putting the proper fuel into the tank. Always record the fuel used in the fuel log as well as the equipment description, equipment number, and hours if the equipment has an hour metre. Always remember to put the fuel cap back on. Because hydrogen gas is lighter than air, it will collect in the ceiling of buildings necessitating proper ventilation. Five air exchanges per hour is considered the minimum requirement. Never charge a vehicle in an area that is subject to flame or spark. Pay particular attention to natural gas or propane water heaters and furnaces. Always use a dedicated circuit for each battery charger. Do not permit other appliances to be plugged into the receptacle when the charger is in operation. Chargers must be installed and operated in accordance with charger manufacturers recommendations or applicable electrical code (whichever is higher). Employees must sign off that they have received training and understand the operation of the golf cart. NO HORSEPLAY or JOY RIDING will be tolerated. Only authorized and trained people may drive the golf carts. Prior to starting, perform a circle check to ensure the golf cart is in good working order. Golf carts must carry no more than two people. Do not start the golf cart until all occupants are seated. Never drive with your legs or feet hanging out. On the course, start the golf cart only after all golfers have completed their drives from the tee. Never keep driving by when a golfer is playing a shot. Drive straight up and down a hill. Driving across a hill can cause the cart to overturn. Never make a sharp turn, even on a straight away. Approach a hill or rise in a straight line. To turn at the bottom of a hill, go straight and turn slowly at a large angle to avoid tipping. Always set the parking break before leaving a cart. Avoid public road whenever possible. If the cart is to be left unattended, make sure that the brake is on, the key is turned off, the directional selector is placed in the neutral position and then finally remove the key. Never alter a cart to go above factory speed specifications. When carrying objects, make sure they do not interfere with the gas or brake pedals and the steering wheel, as this could the cart to go out of control. Watch for pedestrians, and slow down around heavy people traffic areas.
