The Texas Star Chart is: : The Texas Star Chart is: An assessment tool developed around the four key areas of the Texas Long Range Plan for Technology which are: Teaching and Learning Educator Preparation and Development Leadership Administration and Instructional Support Infrastructure for Technology Slide 5: The STaR chart is designed to evaluate a district’s progress towards meeting long range technology goals. The STaR chart can help evaluate student learning based on technology access and teacher professional development. All teachers are required to complete the Teacher STaR Chart. Slide 6: The Results Are In! STaR Chart Technology Progress Score Summary : STaR Chart Technology Progress Score Summary What our results tell Us. : What our results tell Us. Our technology push needs to be in key area #1 and #2; Teaching and Learning, and Educator Preparation and Development. Principals must model appropriate use of technology and introduce new teaching methods in PLCs to stimulate growth.
