LIFE OF DANIEL LIEBSKIND BORN IN LODZ,POLAND, MAY 12,1946. HE ATTENDED THE BRONX HIGH SCHOOL OF SCIENCE, NEW YORK. HE BECAME A US CITIZEN IN 1965. IN 1968, HE BRIEFLY WORKED AS AN APPRENTICE TO ARCHITECT RICHARD MEYER. IN 1972, HE RECEIVED PG DEGREE IN HISTORY AND THEORY OF ARCHITECTURE AT UNIVERSITY OF ESSEX(1972.

EDUCATION AND CAREER :

EDUCATION AND CAREER IN 1970,HE RECEIVED ARCHITECTURAL DEGREE FROM THE COOPER UNION FOR THE ADVANCEMENT OF SCIENCE AND ART. HIS PRACTICAL ARCHITECTURAL CAREER BEGAN IN MILAN IN THE LATE 1980S. LIBESKIND COMPLETED HIS FIRST BUILDING AT THE AGE OF 52,WITH THE OPENING OF THE FELIX NUSSBAUM HAUS IN 1998. THE FIRST DESIGN COMPETITION THAT LIBESKIND WON WAS IN 1987 FOR HOUSING IN WEST BERLIN.

STRUCTURE THE STAINLESS STEEL ELEMENTS ARE MOUNTED ON PLYWOOD STRUCTURAL INSULATED PANELS. THE ENCLOSING ROOF AND WALLS ARE SUPPORTED BY FOUR ANGULAR STEEL FRAME ARCHES.
