The Interrogative In questions, we use the past auxiliary, DID, and the verb is in the base form. Example: Did John Baird invent the radio? Example: Did you watch TV last night? Example: Did you surf the net yesterday? Example: Did you drink coffee this morning? Example: Did you go to the movies on the weekend? Did you eat hot dog for lunch? Where did you spend New Year’s? What time did you go to bed last night?

The Negative In the negative form, we use the auxiliary, didn’t, and the verb is in the base form. Example: Baird didn’t invent the radio! Brad Pitt didn’t marry Penelope Cruz. Example: The boy didn’t eat his cereal. Kenji didn’t sleep well last night. I didn’t do the laundry yesterday and I didn’t clean the house ! The cat didn’t eat the fish.
