Management did whatever it would take to restore normal working conditions and compensate the deceased dependants. The management took a participative role and dealt with this sensitive case carefully using the union help.Q1.Do you think that the Bangalore-Based company had practiced participative management?: Q1.Do you think that the Bangalore-Based company had practiced participative management? Yes! Involve the union in the very important and sensitive situations. The company had good relations with the workers. Assumed in the following situations: - Celebrating the festivals in the company premises. - Took the union help in the situations, which were critical in nature. - The management respects the sentiments of the workers. - Management had very flexible kind of working in respect of the compensations, and other monetary help to the workers.Q2.Method of participation which relate the above case?: Q2.Method of participation which relate the above case? Miller and Monge, who conducted a analysis on participation in the workplace, there are three types which have influence on satisfaction and productivity: - Cognitive model - Affective model - Contingency modelContd….: Contd…. We can relate the case with the Affective model, why: - It deals with participation to productivity. - It deals with satisfaction by facilitating attainment of higher order needs such as: *self-expression, respect, independence, and equality - Which in turn lead to increased morale and satisfaction and a greater commitment to implement jointly-reached decisions.Q4.If you were in the management , would your attitude have been different?
