DISLOCATION DEFINITION End of a bone is forced out of a joint SYMPTOMS Extreme pain in the joint TREATMENT Keep very still, seek medical help #2 #3

BRUISE : 

BRUISE DEFINITION Contusion Injury to tissues underneath the skin SYMPTOMS Black & Blue, tender, discoloration TREATMENT Apply ice

STRAIN : 

STRAIN DEFINITION Overworked muscle SYMPTOMS Soreness from overexertion TREATMENT Rest, apply heat

PULLED MUSCLE : 

PULLED MUSCLE DEFINITION Muscle is seperated or torn from its point of attachment SYMPTOMS Severe pain TREATMENT Apply ice, seek medical advice

MUSCLE CRAMP : 

MUSCLE CRAMP DEFINITION Muscle contracts tightly and doesn’t relax SYMPTOMS Tightening pain in a specific muscle TREATMENT Massage, apply heat

HERNIA : 

HERNIA DEFINITION Rupture, tear or weak area in your abdomen SYMPTOMS Severe pain, organ protrusion TREATMENT Rest, possible surgery

HEAT EXHAUSTION : 

HEAT EXHAUSTION DEFINITION Body becomes overheated due to loss of large amounts of water SYMPTOMS Pale, moist skin, dizziness TREATMENT Move to a cool place, lie down, lower head

HEAT STROKE : 

HEAT STROKE DEFINITION Prolonged exposure to extreme heat and sunlight SYMPTOMS Dry, hot skin, rapid pulse, difficulty breathing TREATMENT Move to a cool place, loosen clothing, call ambulance

FROSTBITE : 

FROSTBITE DEFINITION Tissues freeze due to prolonged exposure to extreme freezing temperatures SYMPTOMS Numbness in chin, cheeks, nose, fingers, toes (extremities) TREATMENT Warm gradually, watch for shock
