Analyzing Systems :

Analyzing Systems

Universal System Model :

Universal System Model Provides a means to show a simplified view of a complex system It has three main parts Input Process Output

Input :

Input Any resource that initiates action by the system Some examples are: Matter Information Energy

Process :

Process Is an action performed on the input

Output :

Output Finished product or outcome that results from the system

Control :

Control In some systems the control is included. A control is a device that manages, commands, directs, or regulates the actions of others components of the system.

Flowcharts :

Flowcharts Is a type of diagram the can be used to analyze a system. It shows the order of steps involved in a process

Universal System Model :

Universal System Model Is an example of a flowchart process Output/input Output/input process

Dichotomous Keys :

Dichotomous Keys Is used as a tool to the helps to determine the identity of something through answering a series of questions. Later in this lesson you will explore and create your own dichotomous key

Feedback Mechanism :

Feedback Mechanism This type of mechanism can control regulate changes and keep the changes within certain limits.

Open or Closed Loop System :

Open or Closed Loop System A system that does not have a feedback mechanism When a system contains a feedback mechanism to modify itself it is know was a closed loop system
