Provide authenticity and immediacy. Spark curiosity of how the material will be used in the classroom. Sum up immediately what a teacher may take too long to explain. Help the students gain knowledge and understand the wider world.


Why Use Movie Segments? :Why Use Movie Segments? Act as prompts for tasks, such as ordering and sequencing events. Extend students’ attention span. Students enjoy taking a break from traditional reading, writing, and grammar classes. Present language in a way that is often more natural than that found in course books.
