Swine Influenza (swine flu) is a respiratory disease of pigs caused by Type A influenza viruses that causes regular outbreaks in pigs. Swine flu viruses have been reported to spread from person-to-person, but in the past, this transmission was limited and not sustained beyond three people. Flu viruses are spread mainly from person to person through coughing or sneezing of people with influenza. Sometimes people may become infected by touching something with live flu viruses on it and then touching their mouth or nose EFFECTS : EFFECTS Difficulty in breathing or shortness of breath. Pain in the chest . Severe vomiting . Sudden dizziness. EFFECTS ON SOCIETY : EFFECTS ON SOCIETY Panic in the society Due to low immunity the swine flu spread’s fastly in children's and senior citizens. Confusion between the peoples PRECAUTIONS : PRECAUTIONS There is no vaccination for swine flu because the virus is new. It’s take at least 6 to 12 months to be produced. Cover your nose and mouth with a tissue when you cough. Wash your hands often with soap and water especially after you cough. Alcohol base hand cleaners are also effective. Slide 12: Avoid touching your eyes ,nose or mouth . The virus can spread this way. Try to avoid close contact with sick people. If you get sick with flu , stay home from work or school . Limit contacts with the effected people , because some viruses and bacteria can live 2 hours or longer on the surfaces like cafeteria tables, desks etc…. Slide 13: Anti viral drugs are prescribed medicines (pills) that fights against the flu virus.
