EDEN™ ENTERPRISE DESIGN NAVIGATOR EDEN™ is a Company-Wide Innovation Management platform that supports Indutech’s Innovation Management and Knowledge Management methodologies. EDEN™ facilitates a team of multi - disciplinary individuals to collaborate on an innovation project, following the same project structure (roadmap), having access to each other’s information as well as best practice information from other, current and past projects. By capturing project information in context with a structured roadmap, a corporate memory is created and shared with the rest of the organisation . EDEN™ also facilitates high-level programme management control over a series of projects. CONCEPTUAL FRAMEWORK EDITOR Organon ™ is an conceptual framework viewer and editor developed by Indutech. As an editor, it allows domain experts to model the relevant entities of a given domain or field of expertise using a conceptual framework. Organon’s visualisation tools allow users to explore the conceptual framework using a point-and-click graphical user interface (GUI). It is versatile and allows users to look at a conceptual framework from various viewpoints, bringing the implicit information and content in the conceptual framework to the surface. This makes it easier for non-experts to maintain and use the information content of that domain. ORGANON™ CORPUS ANALYSIS TOOLKIT Indutech’s Corpus Analysis Toolkit assists users to analyze great volumes of electronic information (in the form of electronic documents) in order to arrive at relevant content - quickly and easily. With CAT a whole new landscape of possibilities are opened in terms of information discovery. It allows users to extract and list key entities and key terms describing the content of the document – per document. It presents users with documents that deal with the same topic as a given document and automatically groups documents into clusters based on the content of the documents, where each cluster is described by a number of key terms. We have developed the following world renowned engineering models which support our methodologies for enterprise wide innovation management I-C-M Innovation Capability Maturity Model Ultimately, by being innovative, simultaneously improving the innovative capability and ensuring mutual learning between the two processes, faster and better results may be achieved. The ICCM is accompanied by a methodology for improving an organisation’s innovation capability. Basically, the organisation conducts an innovation capability maturity audit in order to establish their innovation capability status quo. The ICMM has four Maturity Levels made up of a total of three Innovation Capability Areas, 29 Capability Requirements and 239 Requirement Practices. FuGle ™ Innovation Reference Model The FuGle™ Innovation Reference Architecture is centred on a generic innovation process that combines the convergent of innovation with the divergent deployment and exploitation of innovation . The model was developed by Indutech through collaborative research with the Enterprise Engineering group within Stellenbosch University’s Industrial Engineering Department as well as various international research partners in Germany, France and the Netherlands. FuGle ™ The Aachen Innovation Model The Aachen Innovation Model (AIM) is a systematic methodology for planning and deploying successful product innovations. It is a predominantly standardised approach, incorporating both the strategic and operational aspects addressed in the St. Gallen Management Model. The objective is to provide a framework for creativity, without applying stifling structure, and assist with the co-ordination of all participants within the process. Furthermore, the underlying structure of the approach, which consists of 7 phases, does not need to be redeveloped for different planning processes as it is sufficiently generic in nature to be applicable across multiple scenarios. Some of our clients say? “It is correct, that I searched for innovation capability models and that is the reason why I found the ICMM. Up to that moment, I only had the reference to a Siemens capability analysis, which was much more rudimentary, than the ICMM. It was used by the internal corporate consulting unit before 2004 to show divisional management the quality of their innovation system. The issues addressed were: Strategy: vision, portfolio management and make or buy strategy Innovation core process: idea generation & collection, idea selection, development and commercialisation Assets: budget, equipment, intellectual property Information: environment information, technology and process know-how, knowledge management Qualification & skills: soft and hard skills Corporate culture: motivation, working environment, management commitment When we found the ICMM and saw it was a brand new model and was based on the available documentation on innovation models till 2009, we stopped searching, because we did not have the resources that were put into the ICMM, from where we concluded, that we would not be able to get to better results than Dr. Essmann did. We concentrated on understanding the ICMM and translated the questionnaires into Spanish and performed some interviews with mining industry suppliers, that resulted satisfactory.
