Welcome to Success 101, I will be your instructor for this course. My name is Amy Stanley and you can go to the “My Teacher” tab to learn more about me, my background and experience as well as my contact information. For many of you this may be your first opportunity to be an online learner and I want it to be a positive experience, so please be sure to read the daily announcements. This is one of the main ways I will communicate with you throughout the course. You will have a variety of ways to communicate with me, however, I recommend that the best way to contact me is through the Blackboard “Communication” tools located in the lower menu, here you can send and receive direct messages. Because the summer sessions last only 8 weeks, the pace of the course will be very brisk and it will be important for you to keep up with the workload and log in to work on your assignments on a daily basis. Your first assignment is to go to the “Lessons” link to find your first lesson: “Getting Started” this lesson will help you familiarize yourself with the online format of Success 101.
