Herbal Soap – Should You Use It On Your Skin?:

Herbal Soap – Should You Use It On Your Skin? What goes on the skin penetrates into the body

Slide 2:

Commercial soaps are made today with chemicals we do not want to place on our skin, and can in fact be harmful to our skin and our health. That is why many people are turning to homemade soap for their own use and to give to friends and family as a unique gift. What you put on your body penetrates through the skin into your blood stream. Making your own soap allows you to completely control what is going into your body through the skin.

Your Skin Is The Largest Organ Of Your Body:

Your Skin Is The Largest Organ Of Your Body Our skin is constantly exposed to the environment. It is what stands between us and all the chemical junk and bad bugs that are abundant in our modern society. What a lot of people do not recognize is the fact that the skin is porous and can allow unwanted chemicals and organisms to penetrate into our blood stream. That puts your skin at the front of the battle for good health. Stop and think about what you are now putting on your skin, either consciously or unconsciously. What is in the skin cream you rubbed on your arms or face this morning? Do you read the labels? It is time to take a look and it is time to consider using a natural product that is truly “all” natural. If the label has words that you cannot pronounce then it is suspect. The government is very lax about what they require in labeling. If fact it can be downright misleading. And, just because it says herbal does not mean it is good for you. A skin products company can have a very high percentage of not-good-for-you chemicals and only a small fraction of a natural product and still be able to label it a natural product. Let the buyer beware.

Soap With Herbs:

Soap With Herbs Check what herbs are in the soap. Herbal can cover a lot of ground. Learn what types of herbs are best for your particular skin type. Just because it is made by nature does not mean it is the best for everyone. Some times the only way to determine that is the old try-it-out method. The same is true for fragrances. Even if you love the smell it may not be compatible with your skin. In fact you may have an allergy to the fragrance. So, test a new product on a small area for a day or two to see how your body likes it.

Making your own soap:

Making your own soap Have you ever considered making your own soap? This is the best way to make sure the product you are putting on your skin, and the skin of your family, is right for you. You may be thinking that making soap sounds like a lot of work. Not really. In fact it can be a fun project. Many people make their own soap for their family and to give as gifts. Some even like it so well that they make and sell their own creations. Soap is made using some type of oil. That can come from animal fat or vegetable oil. You are in command when you are mixing together your own soap. You can add the right ingredients for your skin and the right smell for your senses.
