New requirements for launching some product/services General Need Description/ Proposal solicitation : General Need Description/ Proposal solicitation When we are clear about the requirement that which kind of solution we are searching for, then there is a document i.e. called RFP (Request for Proposal) in which we describe the very general requirements including the idea of network we want to deploy and what kind of solution we are finding. There may be two situations that either we are totally blind about the solution and we give the very generic request and depend on the solution proposed by the supplier or we having knowledge about the product and give specific requirements. Supplier Selection : Supplier Selection After the RFP floating we get the Bidding requests from different vendors and then planning team having the expertise in the field evaluate the bids and finalize the vendor normally on the following criteria Product specification compliance Product quality documentation Pricing Network deployment worldwide Reliability Post sale services Order Routine Specification : Order Routine Specification After the finalization of supplier there is following process Contract signing Project Plan finalization Pre-Shipment inspection Shipment Delivery to sites Deployment Performance Review : Performance Review In performance review there are two steps Pre-Shipment Inspection After deployment PAT (Provisional Acceptance Testing) In pre-shipment inspection basically the features provided in the bids have to be verified and then a shipment certificate is being issue by team and in it some %age of the equipment is being checked and tested. In after deployment PAT each and every item is being tested thoroughly and a certificate is being issue against each site. After PAT Network is supposed to be handed over to Operations department. After PAT for certain time of period the equipment is being observed for any service quality issue and then FAC (Final acceptance Certificate) is being issue.
