What is behavior?:

What is behavior? Interaction Response to others. To act in particular way. General style or approach towards others or oneself. ( Human behavior or the approach to oneself and others keeps people healthy or become ill)

Affect of Human Behavior on Health.:

Affect of Human Behavior on Health. Directly: e.g:- Smoking can lead to lung cancer. Lack of hand washing after defalcation increase the chances of diarrohea. Indirect: e.g. :- Throwing Garbage in the streets which is not disposed off regularly increase odor & rapid growth of flies leading to increase diarroheal cases.

Factors Affecting Human Behavior:

Factors Affecting Human Behavior Thoughts & Feelings : Human thoughts and feelings guide humans to act in a particular way. Thought is a process of thinking or a reflection. Feelings are senses by which one shows his/her consideration or emotions or sensitivity to any thing.

Thoughts & Feelings are affected by: :

Thoughts & Feelings are affected by: Knowledge : Knowledge is a basic fact or core information about an issue. Knowledge is gained through experience and also from experience people (Teachers, parents books etc). Beliefs: Beliefs are ideas which people accept without trying to prove that they are true or false. They are derived from our ancestor and people we respect. Human beliefs vary from country to country and community to community. Beliefs are part of human life and indicate what is acceptable and what is not in to a community. Beliefs are usually very difficult to change. Beliefs can be Harmful, Helpful or Neutral.

Thoughts & Feelings are affected by : (Contd) Attitudes: This is the way people behave or interact with each other, or human manners or approach towards each other. They reflects our likes and dislikes. Attitude develop by experience and also from behavior of people whom we respect or who are close to us. Attitudes attract people towards or away from things. Values: Values are principles and standards most important to the people. People follow and share many values in the community. Values changes from time to time in relation to societal development. Again, the values affecting our behavior can either be harmful, helpful or neutral.

This is simply because we listen to them, follow them or see what they do and try to imitate them. These includes family members, teachers, religious leaders, friends etc.

Thoughts & Feelings are affected by : (Contd) Resources : Human behavior is influenced by resources like: >> facilities >> money >> time >> skills Resources affect human behavior by their availability and non-availability.
