A-List Quiz every Friday, Post A’s/100’s On Monday Student of the Week Lunch w/Teacher & Student Generated Lesson Plan at end of Month Positive Phone Call Home Publish Student Work Classroom Walls, Class Publications, Local Paper, etc Kudos~ Quarter Club ~: ~ Quarter Club ~ For every yellow card, student can choose to pay a quarter (1st offense) or two quarters (2nd offense), rather than accept the card. I will also add a quarter per day if anyone can guess the QOD or define the WOD. These quarters will be saved by myself, and used as a reward/party at the end of the semester for the class with the best score (see below). At the end of each class, take a few minutes to “score the period” with the students. There will be five categories (TBD, ie. Stayed on Task/Focused, Stayed Positive, etc), one point for each category. Ask for their feedback/opinions, but ultimately I decide. The most they can get per day is five points. This Is How We Do It Starting Class Enter room quietly, calmly and take your seat Unpack what you need for class Turn in Homework (drop box) Start Bell Work (posted on board) When finished, see “Finished Early?” poster “Finished Early?” Read Silently Look up Word of the Day or Quote of the Day Work on Tonight’s Homework Take your Bathroom Break (3 per term) Put your Head Down & Rest Quietly Bathroom Policy Only 3 Per Term Can Only Go If Work Is Finished (ie, Bell Ringer, Test, etc) No More Than One Out at a Time No More Than Five Minutes Out Or It’s a Tardy Sign Out/In Sheet (Name & Date) Homework Policy Turn into Homework Bin before or after class (NOT during) Short Quiz on day after ALL reading assignments Must fill out Homework Slip before leaving class Ending Class I End the Class, Not the Bell Must fill out Homework Slip Before Leaving (will allot time) Yellow Card for asking what time it is/time left Exit classroom in calm, orderly fashionPARENTAL INVOLVEMENT . . . : PARENTAL INVOLVEMENT . . .
