Definition of Classroom Management: :Definition of Classroom Management: The teacher’s ability to effectively control a classroom, allowing for optimal student learning in a positive environment with few distractions or down-time.
Classroom Management Philosophy :Classroom Management Philosophy Every child learns differently, and the teacher is responsible for catering to those learning styles.
Teachers who have high expectations of their students observe more student involvement and self-determination from their students.
When the teacher establishes order, the students work in an orderly manner.
Classroom Management Philosophy :Classroom Management Philosophy Learning is disrupted when:
Lessons are uninteresting or repeatedly taught towards the same learning styles.
Students have too much down time.
Students are distracted by external factors, as well as internal ones.
Classroom Management Philosophy :Classroom Management Philosophy The solution to effective classroom management:
Immediately addressing all issues in a fair, consistent manner.
Establishing positive parental contacts.
Establishing a professional, personal connection with students.
Maintaining a positive, confident demeanor.
Making learning fun!
Positive Learning Environment :Positive Learning Environment Classroom is clean and orderly.
Students know what is expected of them upon entering the classroom.
Students know where and how to submit and access materials in the classroom.
Positive relationships exists between teacher and students and among the students.
Positive Learning Environment :Positive Learning Environment Cooperative learning is supported and expected.
Students are encouraged to be unique and creative.
Students feel responsible for their own success.
Rules, procedures, and rewards are visible and enforced fairly and consistently.

Procedures :Procedures Classroom procedures are introduced and modeled the first week of school. Afterwards, they will be enforced accordingly.
