Classroom Management :

Classroom Management By Jason Kopanke

My definition of classroom management: :

My definition of classroom management: The constant adjustment of actions taken by the teacher to facilitate an environment where everyone is respected & provided an opportunity to learn

My New definition of classroom management: :

My New definition of classroom management: The neutralization of students who do not poses either the desire to learn or the ability to behave

My philosophy of discipline & classroom management :

My philosophy of discipline & classroom management All students are unique. They learn differently, they respond to discipline differently, they come from different walks of life and yet they must all answer to the same rules and level of discipline. Clearly explained, posted, and constantly enforced rules allows for the teacher to discipline the students fairly and consistently. Because of varying students personalities, and severity of infractions the rules will be enforced slightly differently based upon situational concerns.

Three Key Changes That Improved Management #1 :

Three Key Changes That Improved Management #1 By renaming rules class management increased significantly and teacher time spent on discipline decreased significantly No longer was a consequence required for all offenses but rather a referral to the procedures

Three Key Changes That Improved Management #2 :

Three Key Changes That Improved Management #2 By assigning grades/as consequences for behavior time spent on discipline decreased I no longer forced the students to work They were required to behave and be quiet but not work They were encouraged to work by grades given for assignment's done in class Students who wanted to learn could and those who did not want to learn did not I did enforce a class of quiet students
