Definition of Classroom Management :Definition of Classroom Management Classroom management is the cumulative term for all of the procedures, rules, planning, and organizational strategies a teacher uses to:
prepare the classroom for learning &
maintain a learning environment
Philosophy of Classroom Management :Philosophy of Classroom Management Strong classroom management is needed to promote learning.
Every human is capable of learning (SOMETHING)
Every person has the right to an education
Education brings depth & extra meaning to life

walk in quietly, sit down, take out homework, begin working on Do Now, sharpen pencils before class (AND PICK UP BINDER)?
How to sharpen a pencil or get supplies
supplies will be on the table and students may come up and use them when they need them. Only one student may be up at a time. (RAISE HAND)?
Procedures :Procedures What to do if you miss a day
They will look in the designated binder for anything under the date they missed. They will take out ONE copy of everything, do it at home, & turn it in the next day. They will copy the notes from a neighbor during the Do Now. (GET NOTES ON YOUR OWN TIME. CHECK FOLDER FOR WORK WITH THEIR NAME ON IT.)?

Each student will get 2 bathroom passes per 9 week period. After that they may buy more with tickets if necessary. (NO BATHROOM PASSES. “OH WELL” POLICY.)?
Procedures :Procedures How to behave in the lab
Nothing goes in the mouth – absolutely NO FOOD. They may not touch any lab supplies until instruction has been given. They may not walk around during the lab without permission. After the first warning they must go sit down, get a 0, and write an apology.

Send home “parent handbook” ( SYLLABUS) the first week of school (including: discipline policy, textbook info, supply info, parent volunteer sign up sheet parent contact sheet, & lab safety sheet)?
