PHILOSOPHY OF CLASSROOM MANAGEMENT :PHILOSOPHY OF CLASSROOM MANAGEMENT The purpose of classroom management is to foster a learning environment that allows every student the opportunity to achieve his or her full potential It is the teacher’s duty to ensure that students know what is expected of them in the classroom The teacher must always expect the best out of every student in the classroom and must let students know they care about their achievement level An effective classroom management plan must include positive reinforcement in addition to consequences for negative behavior

CLASSROOM REWARDS :CLASSROOM REWARDS Verbal Praise Tickets Rewarded for active participation in class, demonstration of learning, and exemplary behavior Student Treats (homework pass, tickets, candy, phone call, etc.) Rewarded for completing all in class work and homework over the course of a chapter/unit Student of the Week Rewarded for participation, completing all work, and exemplary behavior Class Reward Rewarded for entire classroom participation during discussions and group work Rewarded for high class passing percentage on quizzes and tests
