Civil War Debates:
Civil War Debates The purpose of this debate is to persuade the audience (the teachers) to support your side. Both sides have compelling arguments. Please research your side thoroughly on the internet in the computer lab. The north: you want to make sure you mention the importance of the Union of the states. The south: you want to make sure you utilize the idea of slavery.

Please take in all concepts we have been learning about . You are being graded upon the content and ability to reason that your side has a stronger appeal. Do not just focus on slavery. It goes beyond slavery. Think about the state of the union. Think about politics. Think about economy.
Debates Due:
Debates Due First thing , Friday, June 10. Each group has 10-13 minutes to convince me and the substitute to vote for your side. You will skype me and tell each of your ideas. After each group presents, the opposing group has 5 minutes to prepare for any rebuttal and 5 minutes to present their rebuttal. Make sure you LISTEN to the other side to find any flaws in their argument!
