Estimate sums, differences, products, and quotients of whole numbers.

When you round, you look to the digit to the right.
5 or greater – round UP
4 or less – round DOWN
Slide 3:Clustering - estimating a sum when the addends are about the same.

Slide 5:Underestimate –
an estimate that is less than the exact answer.

an estimate that is more than the exact answer.
