About Me My name is Hsiao-Mei. I am 11 years old. I like many things. Some things I like is, art. I want to be an artist when I grow up. Another thing I like are animals. I love all kinds of animals. But my favorite animal are bunnies and dogs. My favorite sport is soccer. I think its very fun and very active. My favorite subject is science and PE. I also love to go swimming. I think it’s a lot of fun to do. I also have one older sister. Now that’s all about me. Wait I for got one more thing I am a shy person , Now that’s is every thing about me. =)

Tech Talk 1. Technology- the practical use of human knowledge to extend human abilities and to satisfy human needs and wants. 2. System- an organized way of achieving a goal. 4. Communications Technology- the process used to exchange information. 5. Blog- a website that consists of regular posts that readers can respond to through comments, short for weblog.

Slide 4: 

The benefits of our system was that we learned each other’s names and got to know something about each other too. What needed to be improved was that we couldn’t learn so much about each other and didn’t have that much time to talk. We improved that by talking about how we could solve it and then we split into groups to get to know everyone more, and had a little more time to ask questions. BLOG

Haiti In Haiti there was an earthquake that was very big and strong. It destroyed many houses and buildings. Also it killed many people too. Everyone there lost everything and needed help, but no one was really there to help anyone. They needed money for things and clothes to wear. They also needed food and fresh water to drink. So to help them I donated clothes for them to wear. I also donated some money to help them.

I have a Dream Many people have dreams. My dream is to go to every state in the world. That is my dream because I want to see what every state and see what it is like, and learn something about every one. When I am at any state, maybe I can learn a new language and speak it. This is also my dream because then I can have the experience of traveling around the world. Martin Luther King Jr.

Intro Video 1st Video In our first video, we introduce ourselves and we said 3 things about each other.

Slide 10: 

Paper Tower Video Paper Tower Design Challenge In this video, we make a tower out of a regular piece of paper and 50 centimeters of tape. And try to make it as long and tall as possible. For my group we got our paper tower to be 3 feet tall.

Slide 11: 

Platform Video In this video we make a platform out of a regular piece of paper and 12 inches of tape. We have to make a platform that can hold a 25lb weight and if it can hold you put textbooks on top too. My group held more than 120lbs. WOWW!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Platform design challenge video
