My name is Carl.Im In the seventh grade.I like playing sports like basketball and football.I love to play video games and going on the computer.I also love to listen to music and I like cars.I love to eat tacos and french fries. DEFINITIONS : DEFINITIONS 1)Technology-the practical use of human knowledge to extend human abilities and to satisfy human needs and wants. 2)System-an organized way of achieving a goal. 3)Communications Technology-the process used to9 exchange information. 4)Blog-a website that consists of regular posts that readers can respond to through comments;short for weblog. SYSTEMS BLOG : SYSTEMS BLOG We gained many benefits from the system we created in class.The idea was to learn each other’s names and interests by rotating until we get all the names and interests of the people in class by sitting across them. One half of the class is going to sit stationary and the other half is going to rotate. All of us learned new names and we got to know each other’s interests. The only problem was the people who were sitting stationary didn’t get to meet the other people who were sitting stationary and the people who were rotating didn’t get to meet the other people who were rotating. So we troubleshooted the system. We modified it by separating the half who were sitting stationary and the half who were rotating and do the system we came up with. It was a good idea because we were able to learn the other people’s names. HAITI EARTHQUAKE : HAITI EARTHQUAKE On Jan. 12,2010, it was just before 5 p.m. when a 7.0 earthquake hit Haiti. Most of the island’s capital was turned into a pile of rubble. Many people were affected. There is an estimated 200,000 number of victims. Many countries are responding to this devastation. Martin Luther King Jr. : Martin Luther King Jr. I too have a dreams like Martin Luther King.I want to play in the NBA with the Miami Heat.I want to become a doctor too.I also want to go to University Of Miami or University of Florida in Gainesville. INTRO VIDEO : INTRO VIDEO Group 9-Members of Group 9 intrduce themselves. PAPER TOWER : PAPER TOWER Members of group 9 design and build a paper tower. WEIGHT PROJECT : WEIGHT PROJECT Group 9 members design and build a platform that will support a 25 pound weight and as much textbooks as possible.
