About me : 

About me My name is Emily and my favorite thing to do is to play sports. My best and favorite sport is soccer. I also love to play the piano. In school my favorite subject is math. I have two brothers. One is younger than me and the other is my twin brother.

Tech Talk : 

Tech Talk Technology- The practical use of human knowledge to extend human abilities and satisfy human needs and wants. System- An organized way of achieving a goal. Communications technology- The processes used to exchange information. Blog- A website that consists of regular posts that readers can respond to through comments. Short for weblog.

Slide 4: 

The benefits of the system we created are we got to learn people’s names and some facts about them. Now with this system we are able to tell who they are and start a conversation with them about the things we had in common. I also learned some more things about the people who I already knew. The things that needed to be improved about are that we didn’t get to learn about everybody in the class. If you were the person who was moving around you didn’t get to meet the people who were also moving. Another thing that needed to be improved was that we didn’t have enough time with each person. To improve the problem in which we didn’t get to meet everybody is that we need to make a circle and we all go around telling our names and our interests. To improve the problem in which we didn’t have enough time is that we just add more time to the interviews. Blog

On Tuesday January 12, 2010 a 7.0 earthquake hit Haiti. Many buildings collapsed and destroyed Haiti. The earthquake killed about 200,000 people, hurt 250,000 people, and left 1.5 million people homeless. Some people were found a few days later after the earthquake alive underneath buildings. They need money to pay for medications and for basic needs. Our school is raising money by paying $2.00 to wear whatever t-shirt you want. You could help Haiti by raising money to get it running again just like Omni middle school. Haiti

My dream is to become a pediatrician. Hopefully if I become a pediatrician my business will become very successful and cure a lot of kids. I think that every child should be healthy and I am going to do that. If someone couldn’t afford to go to the doctor I will help them for free. The best part is that when I help someone they will be happy and so will I. I have a dream

Video Production : 

Video Production The three things that went well were that we were able to finish video taping us saying our names of our group. After we finished saying our names we got it in our movie without a problem. The second thing that went well was that we were able to write a title and added it on to our movie real easily. The last thing that went well was that we all got to do something in the video. I particularly enjoyed video taping everyone in my group. To decide who did what in our group we just asked who wanted to do what. That way we were all able to do something to make the video better. The challenges that were encountered were that we didn’t know what effects to use in our video and where to put them. We solved those problems by not putting any other affects in our movie that we couldn’t agree on. We got pretty far in our movie. We were able to finish shooting our movie, we got to edit it, we got to add affects and import it into iMovie. The only thing that we didn’t get to do was to post it to the blog. The thing that I liked the most was video taping our group because it was fun. The thing that I would like to do next is to make claymations and take pictures of it to make a movie.

Our Paper tower video : 

Our Paper tower video Paper tower video For our challenge we had to build a tower made from a piece of a paper and fifty centimeters of tape. This tower had to stand for at least one minute by itself without falling.

Slide 11: 

Platform challenge For this challenge we had to construct a platform from a manila folder and 12 inches for tape. Our platform had to hold a twenty-five pound weight without getting crushed. Platform challenge
