about me My name is Ashley. I love lacrosse and going to the movies with my friends. My favorite food is chocolate and my favorite subject is world cultures. I have one brother his name is Ryan. He is 13 and is in seventh grade. My dream destination is Italy. My favorite restaurant is Jackson’s Ice cream Parlor. I love lacrosse!!!!!!! : )

Tech Talk Technology- the practical use of human knowledge to extend human abilities and to satisfy human needs and wants. System- an organized way of achieving a goal. Troubleshooting- a problem solving method used to identify a malfunction in a system. Communications technology- the process used to exchange information. Blog- a website that consists of regular posts that readers can respond to through comments. Short for weblog. Microsoft Power Point- multimedia slide presentation software. Multimedia- The combination of several kinds of communication such as text, pictures, sound, video, and animation. URL- Uniform resources locator. The special address system used by the world wide web. Every web page had it’s own URL. Resources- all the things you may need to produce a product, provide a service, or solve a problem. All technologies rely on seven resources: people, information, materials, energy, tools and machines, capital (money), and time. Design- a plan for making something.

The System In class we have been doing a system to help learn people’s names in our class. In the system we would have a piece of paper and a pencil. Half of the class would sit in there seat and the other half would move around to different people. To play do the system we would ask three questions to the person who were sitting next to. After time is up we would move to the next person. The benefits about the system was that we got to learn more about the person than their names. But the bad thing about the system was that u didn’t get to interview everybody in the class. The people who stayed in there seats only meet the people who moved around and the people who moved around only got to interview the people who were sitting. We improved the system by adding an extra step. At the end we went into two groups. They were the people who were sitting and the people who were moving around. Both of the groups would go to different people in their groups and interview them.

Haiti Earthquake On January 13th there was a massive earthquake in Haiti. Haiti used to be a poor country but now it’s a poor country in turmoil. Many people have lost family members and friends. Now it’s our time to help. You can help Haiti by bringing money into the school office to donate or donate money to the Red Cross. You can also donate clothes to the Red Cross.

Martin Luther King Jr. My dream is to be the best and most respected lacrosse player in the world. My passion is lacrosse so I would love to wake up every morning and say to myself that I am the best. I don’t have to be the best I just want to be really respected and one of the best lacrosse players in the world. In lacrosse there is no professional team so I would want to be one of the most respected and best college and high school lacrosse players. Then after that I will move to coaching. From there I will work on being the best lacrosse coach in the world.
