Shelter Along rivers & streams (food & transportation) Chief’s house built on mound Village surrounded by palisade (fence)

Tools and Weapons Bow and arrow Simple hoe—from bone—digging Sharp points carved from rocks & animal bones Rocks, wood, & animal pelts: for tools to hunt, farm, build

Food and Agriculture: 

Food and Agriculture Farmed small hills Women responsible for crops Corn pole beans squash & pumpkins Tobacco (in rows on separate plots) Drank tea “black drink” Deer & small animals
