Premium member Presentation Transcript Using the Pearson System for Benchmark Reports : Using the Pearson System for Benchmark Reports Login : Login Login into the Pearson website. www.pearsonbenchmark.com You will be directed to a Welcome screen Login : Login Enter your User name and Password in these blanks. Your username is lastname.firstname. Your password is password. Getting Started : Getting Started You may choose anything that is in blue writing. You may also access the choices from the menus at the top of the page. Classes : Classes This shows your class schedule. Click on the class and get a list of students in the class, their usernames, ID numbers, grade level, gender, and birth date. Search for Students : Search for Students Use this option if you are looking for a specific student and do not know in which class period the student is located. Benchmark Test Results : Benchmark Test Results Click on Benchmark Test Results from your original screen. Select your student group. Use the pull down menu to choose the appropriate group. Select the test from the pull down menu. Benchmark Test Results : Benchmark Test Results Click the GO button. This will take you to your results. The first results screen looks like this: : The first results screen looks like this: You can click on each of these bars. You will get a list of students that fall into this category and their score. Slide 10: Here is an example of the screen that will come up if you click on one of the bars. You can hide the student’s names and print this form for your records. Slide 11: You can also scroll down the page and the program will show you a circle graph of your results. Slide 12: Click on the tab to change from By Test to By Standard. This view allows you to look at how each child did on each individual standard. Each standard is listed and shows a percentage of the group that has or has not mastered the standard. Slide 13: If you click on the green bar, a list of students that mastered that particular standard will appear. You can print this page for your records. Slide 14: You can also click on the red bar for a list of student who did not master the standard. The % Mastery is percent of that standard. The % Score is the percent on the entire test. Individual Student Results : Individual Student Results You may want to search for a individual student. The search may be done by name or ID number. Slide 16: Choosing a student will give you this screen. This window will show all tests taken by the student during the year. Choosing the show mastery details will show each standard on which the child has been tested. Slide 17: Each standard is listed for all tests taken and the mastery for each standard is shown. Create Reports : Create Reports You can create your own reports. Use the pull down menu for Reports. Choose Create reports. Slide 19: With the pull down menu, you will see that you have a choice of four reports. Slide 20: I am going to use the Item Response Analysis. Choose a student group Slide 21: You may choose one class at a time or all your classes together. I am going to choose only one class. Choose Next. Slide 22: You will need to click on the test from which you want the results. Slide 23: You may want to put labels on the top of the report. Choose those labels from the pull down menus. You may or may not want to use a date range. Slide 24: A small window will pop-up to ask for a report name. A name is generated for you or you can use a name that you choose. Slide 25: You can access your reports by clicking on the Reports tab and choosing My Completed Reports. Slide 26: Choose the report by clicking on the blue name of the report. Slide 27: The Item Response Analysis report shows you by student the actual answers each student gave for each question. Slide 28: At the end of the student list, the report gives a list by questions and the percentages of each answer choice chosen. Slide 29: Last, the report shows the standards that were tested and which questions were aligned to that particular standard. Slide 30: You can choose the other reports in the same manner as I did the example. Here is a short description of what you will get with each report: Class Mastery Report Gives you a list of each student, their mastery level for each standard, and the percentage of the standards mastered. This percentage is not the test question percentage, but rather a percentage of standards mastered. Individual Student Mastery Report Gives you a page (or two) per student, listing each standard including mastery, percentage of mastery, and number correct out of the possible questions. Mastery By Standard Report Gives you a standard or two on the page, listing the students who mastered the standard in one column and the students who did not master in another column with the percentage of mastery.
