Robotic inspection service can scan the floor of a full tank while in-service and provides a quantitative assessment of tank floor integrity — all with greater reliability and precision than ever had before. The revised API 653 – 1998 - standard now allows the use of robotics as an alternative method for assessing the condition of a tank bottom/floor as long as certain conditions are met. By : Mostafa Mahmoud Floor Inspection Robot : Floor Inspection Robot The InTANK® service systematically scans the tank bottom with an array of eight ultrasonic transducers, and relays high-volume UT data for analysis. The robot pushed sludge aside as it travels, making cleaning and waste disposal unnecessary in many cases *Based on the average scan pattern in a 100ft. Reduces safety risks during the inspection process. 2. Promotes reduction of pollution (VOCs and HAPs). 3. Eliminates the need for taking the tank out-of-service and planning for alternate storage and waste management. 4. Results in higher quality inspections (i.e., increased accuracy) than the conventional method. 5. Reduces the cost of inspection. Floor Inspection Robot By : Mostafa Mahmoud Shell Inspection Robot : Crawler Robot with B-scan is a rugged remote access crawler designed to allow cost Effective A and B-scan imaging on above ground ferro-magnetic structures without the need for costly scaffolding or rope access. The system uses a unique “Dry Coupled” wheel probe eliminating the need for traditional couplant. Shell Inspection Robot By : Mostafa Mahmoud Shell Inspection Robot : This allows the crawler to travel vertically, horizontally or even inverted whilst still fully functional. Scorpion B scan auto UT inspection system to provide normally minimum 4 scans of the shell to minimize the risk of missing any unforeseen corrosion as well as eliminating the need to use scaffolding or rope access to perform manual UT thickness gauging inspection. Shell Inspection Robot By : Mostafa Mahmoud Roof and Seal Inspection : Roof and Seal Inspection can inspect the underside of AST fixed roof, roof support structure and the internal shell above the product all while the tank is in service is a compact, portable video camera inspection service used to determine the amount and distribution of material in the tank as well as tank conditions such as corrosion and scaling. has pan, tilt and zoom capabilities and is installed thru the man way of AST fixed roof and held in the vapor space between fixed roof and the product (or floating roof) to visually inspect every visible item above the product level (or floating roof).
