Web Apps vs. Native Apps

PowerPoint Presentation:

What is a “ Native App ”? Native Apps are apps that you are required to download from an app store. Native Apps only work on the phones that they were developed for and do not appear in browsers when searching for a business’s website. A Native App must be developed and submitted to an app store before anyone can download it. Native Apps are very expensive because a developer has to custom build them for each type of phone and business .

PowerPoint Presentation:

PROS Native Apps 1. Able to create dynamic motion graphics and more dynamic video games. CONS Native Apps 1. They only work on the operating system they are built for ie . i phone , droid, blackberry… 2. Businesses would have to pay to create one for each type of operating system 3. Very expensive because of demand and limited number of app developer 4. Businesses would have to pay for every update 5. Consumers will have to download updates 6. The business will not be able to make changes easily and in real-time

PowerPoint Presentation:

What is a “ Web App ”? (This is what Mobbux provides) Web Apps are apps that are developed as mobile websites with the Mobbux Builder then added as an app to a phones homepage by a user. Rather than having to download a Native App from an app store, the user simply goes to the mobile website, adds it to their homepage and it is now an App. When a user adds the Web App to their phone, it will place an icon on the homepage and function exactly like a Native App. Businesses are able to add a custom icon and splash loading screen for the Web App.

PowerPoint Presentation:

PROS Web Apps 1. All in one. iphone app, Droid app, Blackberry app, Windows app and Mobile Website on over 5000 phones. 2. No developers. Businesses can update their web app and mobile website on their own through Mobbux 3. No app store . No app store to upload and download the app to. No more downloading app updates. 4. Inexpensive. A business gets all apps and mobile websites for a small monthly fee - No big upfront cost 5. Real-time updates. When the business changes something in their admin, it changes all apps and mobile website 6. Same Feeling. Consumers can’t tell the difference between a Web App and Native App CONS Web Apps 1. Not able to create dynamic motion graphics and more dynamic video games.

ICON Your icon is a 57 X 57 pixel image that appears in the home screen of iPhone, Droid, Blackberry, Apple Touch as well as users of all other smartphones who access your Mobile Website. Your icon puts your business customers in front of their customers 24-7, and puts your information just one-click away - anywhere, anytime. By being present in your businesses customers' phones practically all the time, they will have a distinct advantage over their competitors and win their customers' attention

PowerPoint Presentation:

Your Logo SPLASH SCREEN Also known as the "Cover Page" of your iPhone App, this image appears for about 5 seconds immediately after the user clicks your app icon and before the Home page appears. NOTE: Works only with your iPhone App on all iPhones and iPod-Touch. Non-iPhone smartphones that default to your Mobile Website do not see the splash screen page at this time.

PowerPoint Presentation:

ALL FEATURES You will have the same features on your app and mobile website without doing any extra work. Our platform builds them both with only entering the information once. You are also able to integrate other applications like YouTube, Flickr, WordPress and more.

PowerPoint Presentation:

ICON INSTRUCTIONS On the first page of the app and mobile website, there are instructions for users to add the icon to their homepage. The page contains specific instructions on how to save your icon to their phone's home screen regardless of the type/brand of phone they are using. After the user saves your icon on the phone, they are instructed to click the "continue" button to make the instruction page disappear and continue on to your Home page which contains the main menu of your app / mobile website.
