$26.6 Million Cut to TRIO Programs:

$26.6 Million Cut to TRIO Programs Cuts will be approximately 3% of current funding. Cuts are effective for grants within the 2011 – 2012 fiscal year. Programs with start dates of June 1, 2011, September 1, 2011, or October 1, 2011 Department is trying to reflect cuts in non-competing grant award notifications Department will entertain changes in scope, which must be submitted in writing with new budget plan However, Department does not want a cut in student services. Preferences for cuts are Full Time Personnel and non-direct student services items.

Please, Please, Please! :

Please, Please, Please! We cannot encourage you enough to go ahead and make decisions about how you will manage the cuts to your budget. Remember that if you are seeking to change the scope of your program because of the cuts, you will still need prior approval!
