Other Information on Applying to REUs Many applications are online or downloadable Most schools require two letters of recommendation Some programs have GPA requirements Many ask you to select faculty you are interested in working with Schools may have summer research programs that are not NSF funded. Check their websites. A personal statement is typically required Have a faculty member review your statement before mailing.

Fellowships: Another Option Fellowship in Nuclear and Radiochemistry Offered by the ACS Division of Nuclear Chemistry and Technology June 17-July 28 (6 weeks) Locations: San Jose State or Brookhaven National Laboratory All expenses paid ($3600 stipend) + up to 6 credit hours Deadline Feb. 1 www.cofc.edu/~nuclear/nukess.html Fellowship in Biomedical Research Offered at the Mayo Clinics May 29-Aug 3 (10 weeks) Locations: Rochester, MN (most) Scottsdale, AZ, Jacksonville, FL.
