Slide 1:

The Futuristic Sanford, FL By: Danezja C. J. 50 Years From Now

Sanford Back In The Day.... :

Sanford Back In The Day.... Sanford was first inhabited by the Timucuan Indians . Unfortunately between the war and disease they eventually died. Which were later replaced by the Seminole Indians. At the southern side of the lake was Camp Monroe which was later named Fort Mellon in honor of Captain Charles Mellon. The town of Mellonville was founded in 1842 by Daniel Stewart. It wasn’t until 1845 that Florida became a state. In 1870, In 1870, "General" Henry Shelton Sanford bought 12,548 acres of Mellonville and laid out the community of Sanford. Believing it would become a transportation hub, he called it "The Gateway City to South Florida." Sanford was nicknamed the “ Celery city” because Sanford was one of the top and largest vegetable shipping centers in the USA, and celery was one of there most successful crops.

Downtown Sanford :

Downtown Sanford

Fashion :

Fashion 50 years from now, Sanford’s fashion industry will being overflowing with wild extravagant colors for the teenagers. The younger kids will wear more neutral colors such as the adult males. The women will wear dainty dress in numerous color The Example on the left of the cartoon character “The Jetson’s” is perfect!

Transportation :

Transportation Now a days, gas is about $2.75/gallon. Well in my future town, money issues wont worry you. All Transportation will either be energy savers or battery electric cars.

Slide 6:

This is a futuristic car made by Pierre Sabas. RCA unveiled these cutting-edge cars that look like rockets and one of them is kind of a combination between a motorcycle and a sidecar. One of the best designs is the Airflow concept which was envisioned by Pierre Saabs and it will feature an exterior made of glass, ultra-weight materials and an electric engine. This is the Audi Shark. The Audi Shark is a futuristic flying concept vehicle with a streamlined design inspired by motorcycles and airplanes. It was designed by Kazim Doku and won the Desire Competition by Domus Academy.

Parks :

Parks I believe that the parks are fine how they are now. The only change I would make would be that we have more swings and all the parks look like Fort Mellon parks. Fort Mellon park is in the background.

ENTERTAINMENT :

ENTERTAINMENT The same entertainment will remain the same for adults such as, “Alive After Five”, etc. But now we will have more dances and entertainment for the teens and kids. For kids 12 and younger, we will have a fair/ carnival every weekend downtown from 12-7pm with unlimited ride and fun for $7/child. As far as teens, we will have teen dance and activities every weekend also. They will be located either at the Boys and Girls Club or the American Legion. That will be for ages 13-18. The cost would be $8/teen, which will also include free drinks and food. This will be between 8pm-1am.

Schools :

Schools In the future, There will be the same type of education with a little difference. First, there will be another High school added to lower some of the students in one high school now. Also there will be a more broadcast and open opportunity for students to know about Virtual school. They will have the ability to do class online without having to go to school.
