Step–By–Step Therapy: 

Step–By–Step Therapy Opened in 2001 Located in Tavares, Lake County, FL. Offers Speech, Occupational, and Physical therapy. Geared towards children.

Engagement Activities: 

Engagement Activities Children with communication disorders 2-5 hours per day 2 -3 day a week for three weeks Observed at first Participated with guidance Played games Asked questions Worked on sentence completion. * All names have been changed

Participant Demographics Age: 2 ½ - 8 Caucasian, African American and Hispanic English and Spanish Approximately 10 patients Disabilities according to I.D.E.A. Speech and Language impairment, Autism and mental retardation

Perceptions of Differences: 

Perceptions of Differences Nervous about working with SLPs. Therapy management skills. Experienced new disabilities. Organization is key! * All names have been changed

Civic Engagement: 

Civic Engagement Volunteering taught me about me community. Service learning is a great opportunity to develop trust and respect for someone new. Teachers and students should embrace service learning with open arms. I will seek more opportunities to improve my teaching abilities.
