FEVER:

FEVER Fever is abnormal rise of body temperature , due to pyrogens which disturbs the heat regulation metabolism .

CLINICAL SYMPTOMS OF FEVER.:

CLINICAL PATHOLOGY. :

CLINICAL PATHOLOGY. There are no clinical pathology specific for fever. The heamogram will reflect change associated with cause of fever. Marked change in differential leukocyte count characteristic for each disease.

TREATMENT:

TREATMENT Fever should not be necessarily treated in most of the cases recover without specific medication. Rarely rise to dangerous level if remain untreated. Damage to the brain if reaches above 42◦c. Excessive cooling should be done. Keep animal hydrated. High caloric diet.

MEDICATION:

MEDICATION Antipyretic. Ibuprofen, paracetamol . NSAID:- Aspirin. Broad spectrum antibiotics.

ADVICE:

ADVICE Hippocrates said “give me fever and I can cure any illness”. Fever has some important functions like:- Mobility of leukocytes increase. Phagocytosis increase. Proliferation of T cells inc. Enhances activity of interferon's.
