Psalm 1: NIV:

Psalm 1: Living Translation:

Psalm 1: Living Translation Oh, the joys of those who do not follow evil men’s advice, who do not hang around with sinners, scoffing at the things of God: But they delight in doing everything God wants them to do,

Psalm 1: Living Translation:

Psalm 1: Living Translation and day and night are always meditating on his laws and thinking about ways to follow him more closely. They are like trees along a river bank bearing luscious fruit each season without fail.

Psalm 1: Living Translation:

Psalm 1: Living Translation Their leaves shall never wither, and all they do shall prosper. But for sinners, what a different story! They blow away like chaff before the wind. They are not safe on Judgement Day; they shall not stand among the godly.

Psalm 1: Living Translation:

Psalm 1: Living Translation For the Lord watches over all the plans and paths of godly men, but the paths of the godless lead to doom.

Learning from God’s word:

Learning from God’s word “But they delight in doing everything God wants them to do, and day and night are always meditating on his laws and thinking about ways to follow him more closely“.

Learning from God’s word:

Learning from God’s word Attitude of seeking wisdom from God’s word rather than presuming I know better. Think about the instructions God has given for life and allow it to shape our thoughts and actions .

Learning from God’s word:

Learning from God’s word We go to God’s Word in prayer and depend on God and the Holy Spirit.

Learning from God’s word:

Learning from God’s word God has no plan or program by which we are to grow and develop as believers apart from His Word. How can I follow Jesus more closely?

Psalm 1: Youth Bible:

Psalm 1: Youth Bible Happy are those who don’t listen to the wicked, who don’t go where sinners go, who don’t do what evil people do. They love the Lord’s teachings, and they think about those teachings day and night.

Psalm 1: Youth Bible:

Psalm 1: Youth Bible They are strong, like a tree planted by a river. The tree produces fruit in season, and its leaves don’t die. Everything they do will succeed. But the wicked people are not like that. They are like chaff that the wind blows away.

Psalm 1: Youth Bible:

Psalm 1: Youth Bible So the wicked will not escape God’s punishment. Sinners will not worship with God’s people. This is because the Lord takes care of his people, but the wicked will be destroyed.

Guarding intimacy with God:

Guarding intimacy with God “But the wicked people are not like that. They are like chaff that the wind blows away. So the wicked will not escape God’s punishment. Sinners will not worship with God’s people. This is because the Lord takes care of his people, but the wicked will be destroyed.”

Guarding intimacy with God:

Guarding intimacy with God The wicked will never know the intimacy of God as Father. “His winnowing fork is in His hand and He will clear His threshing floor, gathering his wheat into the barn and burning up the chaff with unquenchable fire.” Matthew 3:12

Guarding intimacy with God:

Guarding intimacy with God Our Psalm today encourages us to guard, treasure and protect the life we have in Jesus, the privilege of knowing God firmly at the centre.

Guarding intimacy with God:

Guarding intimacy with God “Enter through the narrow gate; for the gate is wide and the way is broad that leads to destruction, and there are many who enter through it. For the gate is small and the way is narrow that leads to life, and there are few who find it.” Matthew 7:13-14
