New year – New you Refocus on what God has and wants to do in our lives. Remember Evaluate Focus

Remember : 

Remember “You were taught, with regard to your former way of life, to put off your old self, which is being corrupted by its deceitful desires;” Ephesians 4:22.

Remember : 

Remember Die to our old lives. Realise our need of God’s love and grace. Letting go of the authority over our lives to God. Discard everything which hinders.

Evaluate : 

Evaluate “to be made new in the attitude of your minds;” Ephesians 4:23

Evaluate : 

Evaluate v22 referred most to our conduct and actions. v23 is more about our thinking.

Evaluate : 

Evaluate “Therefore, I urge you, brothers, in view of God’s mercy, to offer your bodies as living sacrifices, holy and pleasing to God—this is your spiritual act of worship.

Evaluate : 

Evaluate Do not conform any longer to the pattern of this world, but be transformed by the renewing of your mind. Then you will be able to test and approve what God’s will is—his good, pleasing and perfect will.” Romans 12:1-3

Evaluate : 

Evaluate Let God change our minds to consider and evaluate his way.

Focus : 

Focus “and to put on the new self, created to be like God in true righteousness and holiness.” Ephesians 4:24.

Focus : 

Focus Focus not on our own status, wealth, position, happiness. Focus on God’s honour, calling, and plans.

Focus : 

Focus To make Jesus the head of our lives. To discover and live in God’s purposes. To be reconciled to God and other people.

Focus : 

Focus To become an active part of Jesus’ body on earth, the church. To maintain the unity of God’s people. To recognise and honour the diversity and gifting of one another.

Focus : 

Focus To be renewed personally. To be filled and overflowing with the Holy Spirit.
