My ADDIE Process The 3Cs of Media – Copyright and Creative Commons Workshop   Analyze – Learners are first year undergrads in a humanities class receiving instruction within the context of an academic library. All work will be completed during class. Module can be conducted by library staff or handed to teacher and completed by them. Workshop is requested by faculty, or is offered by the library as part of a series.   Objectives : On completion of this class, students will be able to: 1. Utilize a search tool to view Creative Commons materials 2. Create a small (2 - 4 items ) collection of Creative Commons materials. 3. Articulate understanding of the importance of Creative Commons material No audio on this slide

PowerPoint Presentation:

My ADDIE Process Design – Delivery method – Face to face or distance, could be even be asynchronous with adaptations from the instructor for the evaluation phase. Students are led through Powerpoint presentation, then work singly or in pairs to conduct an online search for Creative Commons materials. Each puts links to the materials in an online document available to the entire class. A group discussion and sharing of the findings follows. (events 1 – 7) This exercise and subsequent document serves as assessment. Summative assessment ends the session with a 2-1 exit writing. (event 8) A follow up email to the instructor with links to additional search sites, which she / he may share with the class serves as an aid to retention and transfer (event 9) Duration, 60 minutes (one class period). No audio on this slide

PowerPoint Presentation:

My ADDIE Process Development – Script is written, audio recorded, graphic elements found, Powerpoint module created, demo video created. Wordpress site created. Implementation – Workshop is conducted, assessments gathered.   Evaluation – Besides the assessments given to students, a post workshop survey is sent to faculty to gauge opinion of the usefulness of materials. Another follow up email is sent at the end of the semester to assess the impact of the instruction (did students use CC materials appropriately). Comments are then used to revise learning module for next time. No audio on this slide
